This one’s personal, and it’s going to be long. ✨ Sometimes the writer in me comes out . . . My 20’s: This was a tender decade. It was all about the hustle, making ends meet. I worked long hours in retail and a publishing company to support Chris through law school. ⚖️ I didn’t have the luxury to explore my own interests—fitness & friendships. The best F-words if you ask me. 😉 My 30’s: After he passed the California Bar exam, I resumed my education. I earned my bachelor’s degree from UCI with a toddler on my hip. 🎓 This decade was spent being PREGNANT 3x’s. I was busy raising my babies. Never had a minute alone. It was a blur. 45 + The cumulative stress of motherhood, isolation, marriage, and finally, the unexpected LOSS of my father in 2020, had taken its toll on my body. It was a brutal time. There were lots of tears. The shift came in 2021, when I discovered Lagree fitness. 💃🏻 When I tell you that MOVEMENT changed my life—it is not hyperbolic speech. It truly pulled me out of the trenches!! It has kept me going since. 🙏🏼 My body carried me through four plus decades. Your body will carry you. 🫶🏼 Huge shout out to @marinacrabtree for yesterday’s killer mat class & my serotonin fix!! 🔥 #genx #fitmom #pilates #oc #matpilates
