Jeanne Huet and Marion Canneval had planned an afternoon trip to the Musée d’Orsay. However upon arriving, Ms. Huet was approached by a museum employee who informed her she would not be able to enter the museum. After being pressed for a reason, the agent left before returning with a security guard and museum manager. Still not giving a direct reason, the manager told Ms. Huet she would be granted entry once she put on and zipped up her jacket. All in attendance had their eyes on the neckline of Ms. Huet's summer dress. Did as she was told, Ms. Huet left the encounter feeling “embarrassed," “ashamed” and "self-conscious” of her own body. Unsettled by the “hypersexualization” of women's body the experience underscored, Ms. Huet wrote an open letter about the continued prevalence of systemic sexism in France and around the world. “I ask myself if the employees who wanted to block me from entering knew to what point they had sexualized me, had followed a sexist order, and whether when they go home in the evening they will think it was within their rights to disrespect mine." Ms. Huet's post, which has since gone viral, resonated with women across the country spurring protests against the museum and a nationwide campaign against restrictive dress codes targeting women. #womensrights #everydaysexism #femalesexuality #museedorsay #dresscode

🤔 Espero os guste, me he concienciado mucho haciéndolo 😉
