[NOW OPEN] Emmanuel Béguinot → Always Again
September 3rd - October 3rd, 2026
Galerie Derouillon, Etienne Marcel
13 rue de Turbigo, 75002

‘’What binds us to filth is hunger.
The body’s greed, opening and contracting on the occasion with the first games.
A rictus only idiots and animals come to tear off with full teeth.
The same way one tears a child’s wisdom.
Filth is a mode of existence that inverts the formula: shit = money.
An irreverent alchemy.
Whoever would sell you a pre-established recipe for defilment, or a dazzling dramaturgy, has ''mithridatized'' themselves against pure danger, as the Momo* used to say.
When it becomes a theater of seduction, filth sees its stage circumbscript, meticulously cleaned after every act by foreign hands. […]’’ Excerpt from the text by Cy Lecerf Maulpoix

[OPENING TODAY] Keunmin Lee «  When hallucination is no longer a symptom »
February 20th - April 5th, 2025

« Hans Ulrich Obrist: This work is fascinating. It evokes not only the flesh, but also the entire vascular circulation. It's like an entire organic system. At first, I thought of Soutine's influence and the flesh, but in fact it's not that: it's a representation of the system itself - blood system, digestive system, organic system...

Keunmin Lee: I kind of connect the digestive system to the social system, between absorption and elimination and so on. Generally speaking, through my works I try to express resistance to oppression, to the way in which society conditions and “packages” us. My works are very much linked to my personal history, but I'd also like them to help people become aware of the way they are reified by society. »

Opening tonight at 5p.m !
Julian Farade → hors milieux
October 10th, from 5 to 8p.m

Julian Farade explores human emotions through dense, colorful compositions where figures seem to emerge from one another. Oscillating between abstraction and figuration, he wishes to extract himself from this dichotomy to develop the possibilities offered by this zone of uncertainty and instability, the place where a figure is still a sign, a drawing a grapheme, a color a pure emotion. He thus composes a vocabulary of recurring figures - a house, a crocodile, a ladder ... - that he arranges in all his paintings and that disappear at first glance to let us read a very expressionist overall composition.
