POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One year ago today, @marissammorrow and I were leaving for Ireland, Scotland, and England. Crazy how fast a year can fly by! Too many memories to share, so here’s a few photos I took on my candido with Fujifilm400.

First time shooting b&w film. I wasn’t sure how they would turn out with a point-and-shoot and flash, but I loved them! Here’s a few more from Blucifer weekend 🤠

World Photography Day

“Do you do it for likes and views or do you do it because your heart told you to?“
-loveLeeDunn

To everyone who has allowed me to photograph them in Colorado and back home; to the ones who allow me to create for and with them; to the ones who support my journey and encourage me to keep going, thank you so much. Sincerely. From the very depths of my heart and soul. This is only the beginning.

Hey friends! @lighthousewriters has a new program for writers in recovery- and I’m teaching the first two sessions! Please join and/or share with others. This is a safe, inclusive space for people to be creative and share in community with others on the same journey! This is a hybrid workshop, so you can join in-person or online! Free for member and $5 for non-members ( and we always have tuition assistance).

Marissa Morrow (she/her) is a Thornton-raised, Denver-based poet, photographer, arts administrator, and vinyl DJ. Her photography has been featured in The Collab. Magazine (2018), a 2025 Month of Photography exhibition, and in Redline’s 2026 pop-up Black History Month exhibition, Blaq-List. Through street and portrait photography, Marissa is passionate about telling stories and slowing down time to help others reflect and think differently about the world around them.

If you need a theme to write from, it's "nurturance" this month: Love, poems flew from our fingers after we touched grass. We slept in a briar of dreams but the nectar we collected turned to honey at dawn. Darlings, let us be sweet together. Dark is surely coming but look at what the light did now.

“I want morals
I want love
I want peace
So come and have a seat
If your heart is heavy by the things of this world
If you want change
If you need a break or a laugh or shoulder to cry on
Come
There’s room“

“And then I went and did the things I said I’d never do…”

I love having friends that encourage me to do the things I want to do. They push me to do what makes me happy BECAUSE they know those things make me happy. They want me happy…🥹
