POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

They deliver for us every day. Their safety deserves our attention. 📬

Grateful to join NALC Branch 545’s City Carrier Safety Roundtable and hear directly from letter carriers advocating for their members’ safety.

From dangerous traffic to loose dogs and threats of violence, the risks are real. Every carrier deserves to get home safely.

Thank you to @rorietimothy, Sharice McNeil, and Branch 545 for bringing us together. I look forward to receiving your specific asks and identifying where we can help.

Another weekend on the move! Representative @clyburnsc06 firing up the @orangedemsnc Saturday morning to an evening with friends at the @blackpoliticalcaucus of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Legends & Legacy Gala to the Mint Museum on Sunday.

And, yes, Moira had to wear a gown and I had to wear a suit on the train down to Charlotte. And, yes, I know a gown on a (cold) train is a little more complicated than a suit.

The vote was 4-4. Commissioner Arthur Griffin made a motion to have CMS send financial information to the board regarding misuse of funds- half of his colleagues didn’t agree - they say investigations are already happening involving the school district so no need to interfere. #CMSInvestigation #MeckCoComm #wbtv #accountability

Kudos to the @urbanleague_charlotte on another dazzling year of “defying gravity” at their Whitney M. Young Jr. Gala, presented by @wellsfargo and @truist. This year’s theme was The Wizard of Oz, and it was a Wicked good time!

Care Ring is proud to support the crucial economic mobility work of Urban League Charlotte, and we hope they “eased on down the road” and went “over the rainbow” in meeting their fundraising goal!

Lunch in District 5 with Mecklenburg County Commission Chair Mark Jerrell and Mayor Rob Harrington 💚

We talked East Side priorities, where the City and County can work better together, and how we keep moving investments and opportunities east. There’s a lot of work ahead, and I’m always going to make sure East Charlotte has a seat at the table.

From East Charlotte, for East Charlotte. 💚
