In my case it's reading, I love proper books, and this one didn't disappoint, a new author for me Mark Edwards with the Wasp Trap.
A psychological thriller

The Premise: Six former college friends—who spent a pivotal summer in 1999 working for a professor on a psychological dating app—reunite years later for a dinner party.

The Twist:

The night turns dangerous when the group is held at gunpoint and forced to expose dark secrets from their past, tied to a rogue psychopath-detection tool called "The Wasp Trap".

The Structure: The story alternates between the present day and the fateful summer of 1999.

This book didn't disappoint it has a major twist in the plot which I definitely didn't see coming 🤔

Well this book was another action packed thriller. Lots of twists and turns. I really liked Patrick, the main character, and found myself hoping that considering the crazy circumstances he would come out of it well. The remote setting and idea of spending Hogmanay with your in-laws for the first time wasn’t particularly original but I liked the added twists and the Grant family were certainly hostile in-laws to have. I did find some of the twists a little bit far fetched to start with but as it came to the conclusion I could see that they made sense and built a bigger picture. Personally, I didn’t like the ending (although the epilogue was better) but I won’t give it away by saying why. It was an easy, quick moving thriller perfect for the colder weather we’ve been having now autumn seems to be here.
