What an incredible day at the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce's inaugural Women's Conference, "IGNITE: Mind, Body & Soul"! It was truly inspiring to gather with so many amazing women at the Sonesta Redondo Beach to learn, grow, and reconnect. From the thought-provoking keynote sessions to the engaging breakout workshops, the day was packed with education, fun, and genuine conversation. Most importantly, it was wonderful to see so many new connections sparked throughout the conference and the after-hours networking session. A huge thank you Sonesta Hotel and to all our brilliant speakers for sharing your wisdom and expertise, and to our partner organizers for curating such a powerful and empowering experience. It was a day to remember! #IgniteWomen #RedondoBeach #WomensConference #wearethechamberrbcc #WomenSupportingWomen

Tomorrow's guest speaker: Marla Diann! Most of us were taught to treat joy as the reward - like it's something you get to after the work is done. @marla_diann makes the case that it's actually a compass! Joy tells you when you're aligned and when something needs to change. Marla is the host of the Follow Your Joy Podcast, now past 100 episodes. Before that, she spent three decades in entertainment publicity and talent management, and 18 years mentoring entrepreneurs. Her talk draws on her own reinventions, including a month in Italy after career burnout. She'll leave us with one question: if you made a list of what brings you the most joy, what would change if you courageously followed it? Don't miss the luncheon and talk tomorrow - it'll be a great one!

Sometimes hearing someone else’s story helps us look at our own life differently. That’s what I love about conversations like this one with Marla Diann on Follow Your Joy. A reminder to be intentional with the life in front of us and not let fear decide what we do with it. Comment SURVIVAL and I’ll send you the episode link. 🤍 💋tg #thecomebackedit #followyourjoy #toughliketammy

#TBT … 2017. My very first ICONIC at the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey, CA. After years of hosting huge events, I was ready for something much different, and so were the women in my orbit. A relaxed, intimate conference where you weren't talked AT, told what formula you had to use, or 'sold to’ hard. Leaders who wanted to bring what they were creating, share what they were carrying, and support each other through the process. Once we opened for applications, we sold out our space in 2 days. Women flew in from around the world, from Europe to Australia. We shut the doors and took a collective deep breath. We questioned prevailing narratives of success and the metrics we were taught to judge ourselves by. We openly shared our frustrations with our industries. We shared best practices, generating a cross-pollination of proven ideas. We forged new friendships in a room that — in the words of one of my participants — felt like the ’safest space of powerful women' she’d ever been a part of. There was nothing like it. And I will say for me personally, it felt like the first room in which I stopped ’teaching’ and stepped into truly leading. 🔥 After few years away, I’ve brought back ICONIC this fall, because it’s needed more than ever. Things are changing so quickly, and often in ways that feel chaotic. Some days, it can be hard to see the way through. But the bright side is the enormous opportunity to realign with our true purpose — and now create the greatest work of our lives. It’s time to harness this energy and create our best chapter yet. If this resonates, have a look now and consider joining us on November 4+5 in Scottsdale, AZ. We have fewer than 20 seats remaining — and the group of women already joining us is absolutely incredible. Link in my profile. 🔗 #WomenEntrepreneurs #FemaleFounders #ICONIC2026 #ICONICwithAliBrown

💖I recently joined Marla Diann on the Follow Your Joy podcast for a conversation about something I know a lot of us eventually have to figure out: Who are you when life doesn’t go according to plan?🤔 After 127 days in the hospital, losing my right leg and coming home to a life that looked nothing like the one I had left, I had a lot more to rebuild than my physical strength. I had to figure out who I was now. And eventually, what I wanted to do with the life in front of me. Marla and I talked about moving beyond survival mode, learning to trust yourself again, deciding what deserves a yes, and why moving forward doesn’t mean you have to completely reinvent your life. We also talked about something I call editing forward. 👉🏻It’s not about trying to get back to who you were before life changed. It’s about asking what matters now, what you want more of, what you’re ready to leave behind, and making choices from the person you’ve become. Because surviving may change you. ‼️You still get a say in what comes next. 🎧Listen to Episode 108 of Follow Your Joy with Marla Diann: www.marladiann.com/ep108 Follow Your Joy also streams on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon, iHeartRadio and YouTube. Take a listen and please let me know which part of our conversation was most meaningful to you! 💋tg #followyourjoy #podcastinterview #toughliketammy #thecomebackedit

When You Already Know the Answer… Why Do We Doubt Ourselves? Have you ever known the answer…and then immediately talked yourself out of it? I recently joined Marla Diann on the Follow Your Joy podcast for a conversation about intuition, self-trust, and why we often ignore the quiet wisdom within us. We explored: •Why we often second-guess ourselves •How intuition supports our everyday decisions •My journey from corporate life to becoming an intuitive guide •Why self-honesty is often the first step toward meaningful change •How tarot, numerology, and astrology can become tools that help us hear ourselves more clearly—not tell us what to do A key message from our conversation: You don’t need more answers. You need to trust what you already know. If that resonates, I invite you to listen. 🎙 Listen to Episode 106 of Follow Your Joy: https://marladiann.com/ep106 🔗 in my bio 🎁 I’m sharing my complimentary guide, The Tarot Coach Approach, inside Marla’s Portal of Joy, where you’ll find gifts from inspiring podcast guests. https://marladiann.com/podcast/portal/ I hope our conversation encourages you to pause, listen inward, and trust yourself a little more today. #FollowYourJoyPodcast #TrustYourIntuition #SelfTrust #PersonalGrowth #Intuition

One of the most overlooked forms of nourishment has nothing to do with what’s on your plate. It’s the people sitting across from you. This season, I’ve been intentionally investing in local connections. Coffee dates. Networking events. Walks. Dinner conversations. Rooms filled with women building businesses, raising families, chasing dreams, and cheering each other on. Every time I leave, I feel more energized, more inspired, and more like myself. We spend so much time talking about fueling our bodies with protein, water, and movement (all incredibly important), but our relationships fuel us too. Community is nourishment. So if you’ve been feeling stuck, isolated, or uninspired, consider this your reminder to get out from behind the screen. Introduce yourself. Ask someone to coffee. Attend the event. Build your village. The waves we create together are almost always bigger than the ones we make alone. 🌊 Who is one person in your community that’s been a positive influence on your life lately? Tag them below so we can celebrate the ripple effect they create.

After 18 years in entrepreneurship and a burnout that nearly broke her, Marla took a one-month solo trip to Florence, and it changed everything.
