“Architecturally, it stands on its own,” says Donyea Tollie of @rejuvenationhomestudio of this Sebring, Florida home. “Designed in a plantation style, the home carries a complex and undeniable history. As a Black design firm designing for a Black family, we approach our work with deep awareness and responsibility, so this was something we could not ignore.”

Highlights in the bathroom include a vintage Randolph Morris freestanding tub, a Crystorama chandelier, and artwork by @marquest_art. “Here, materiality takes center stage,” Donyea shares.

"The Quiet Shift"

The Art of Marquest Cathcart

Server uniforms, bow ties tight and aprons crisp, stand with heads bowed-not in labor, but in introspection. The pink backdrop feels surreal, ethereal, almost dreamlike, while the blooming red florals creeping in from the side suggest time, seasons, and cycles.

Would you Be Happy at Project Modern Mural?

Let’s paint the picture. Our client is a frequent traveler. She moves through the world constantly so when she finally walks back through her own door, the space needed to meet her. Not just functionally, emotionally and creatively.

We designed around that feeling. Dark tones as the grounding color throughout. Bold pattern in the living room; a freehand mural that immediately catches your attention. A dining space anchored by her curated wine collection because coming home also means pouring a glass of your favorite beverage and staying a while.

Her books are on display. Her art is on the walls. Her personality is in every corner, not stored away.
This is what renter-friendly interior design looks like when you lead with identity instead of limitation.

Y’all know the motto here is, “decorate the rental”. The mural gets repainted. The panels come down. The furniture travels with her. But the feeling of being somewhere that is unmistakably yours? That stays.

Sometimes the solution for making a space impactful is freehanding a mural and enlarging an art print at a local framer @lindengalleries

This living room went from unfinished to artful with not one, but two custom focal pieces doing the heavy lifting: an organic mural and art by @marquest_art via @saatchiart enlarged to 50 x 50 for an oversized statement.

We designed this space with bold contrast in mind —curvy black lines with soft pink textures, grounded with neutrals creating an enigma of light and dark.

Every space has a story… and this one just found its voice. ✨

Swipe to see the transformation.

What was once ordinary is now filled with quality vibes, intention, and personality. I believe a space should do more than look beautiful… it should raise the vibration of everyone who enters it.

This is what happens when design meets purpose.
