I recently finished two great weeklong classes in Flame working. I brought home lots of pieces of art from the people that inspired me so my glass cabinet got revamped a bit and I thought I would share it. Every piece on this shelf has a story — and a teacher behind it. These are the artists who opened their studios, shared their tricks, and trusted me with the flame. 🔥 This cabinet isn’t just glass… it’s a timeline of gratitude. Thank you for letting me learn from you. #FlameworkedGlass #LampworkArt #GlassArtist #glassbeads

✨ Inch by inch… row by row Making my little glass garden grow… Still processing my first @penlandschool adventure … but wanted to share my finished piece from my 10 day workshop with @karirussellpool and @marshallhyde !!! 20+ flameworked flowers, mushrooms, leaves and other organic shapes and goodies in a 12” black wooden frame 🖼️ This piece soundly have been possible within the help of my amazing teachers and classmates!! Kari is an incredibly patient and thoughtful teacher and just overall exceptional badass. I have a feeling I’ll be using these flameworking flower building techniques for the rest of my life! Marshall is a hilarious human and brilliant sculptor. Despite my total lack of time management skills he still made sure I actually got this project completed in time for Show and Tell! For which I will be forever grateful. Our class was full of the nicest folks you could ever hope to find and I already miss everyone dearly!!! It’s amazing to see all the different ways glass can fit into people lives. There’s more words and photos but that’s a good start for now. My heart is full. Love y’all!!! ❤️‍🔥🌺❤️‍🔥🌸❤️‍🔥🌼❤️‍🔥🌻❤️‍🔥🪷❤️‍🔥🌷❤️‍🔥 #sugarcadavers #sugarcadaversglass #penland #penlandschoolofcrafts #flameworking #flamework #glassflowers #glassart #glassartist

Back in December, I was in a 3-person exhibition called "Abstraction: Process, Practice, Perception" with @melissazarem and @david_p_dowler in the Atrium Gallery at @corningcc. Many thanks to @marshallhyde for doing all the hard work of organizing and hanging the show! I just retrieved my work today, but here are some belated photos of the installation. #photoart #photomontage #digitalart #paperart #paperfolding #papersculpture #origami #origamiart #collage #collageart #glitch #glitchart #netart #pixels #pixelart #tessellation #patterns #fractal #fractals #fractalart #digitalanalog #imageprocessing #geometric #mathart #symmetry #abstractart #contemporaryart #opart #opticalart
