This year we reflected on what filled our cups most… and it always comes back to creating + community. 💛

So in 2026 we’re committing to hosting more community events and building more creative spaces to connect.

We’re starting off strong this month with THREE exciting events!

☮️ 1/11: Yin Yoga + Sound Bath facilitated by @marswhealthness

Our inaugural and soon-to-be annual CJUHSD Family & Community Engagement Summit brought our district community together. We celebrated the power of community strengths and collective expertise. From the moment families walked through the doors, you could feel the energy and joy filling every corner.
✨ Students from schools across our district took center stage with performances that showcased their incredible gifts and abilities
🤝 Community resource vendors shared valuable information and support for our families. We had opportunity drawings for prizes and swag bags with notebooks!
💫 Parents stepped into leadership roles, facilitating breakout sessions and generously sharing their funds of knowledge with our families, emulating our summit’s theme- By Families, For Families: Powering Student Success Together.
This summit wasn’t just an event—it was a powerful celebration of the assets, skills, and wisdom that already exist within our families. When we recognize and elevate the expertise our community brings, everyone thrives.
Families were also treated to chair yoga abd soundbaths as part of our wellness sessions from @marswhealthness 🧘
A special thank you to our sponsors: San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools @sbcss_famengage for sponsoring registration and donations and Balloons by Ray for adding joy and color to our celebration! 🎈
Thank you to Alta Loma High School, every family member who attended, every vendor who supported us, every parent facilitator who shared their talents, and every student who performed. This is just the beginning. We can’t wait to see this summit grow in the years to come!

Ground. Reset. Connect

Sometimes, we just need a minute to re-connect with our body in a more rooted way, especially when situations occur out of our control.

Next time you are feeling like you need to get grounded, root yourself like a tree, and breathe.

Tips to Remember:

When breathing in, fill your belly with air. Exhale, bringing belly button to spine.

Roll your shoulders back and adjust your posture.

Let the breath roll out. Do not force it. Do not hold it (unless you want to or are doing a specific breathwork such as 4-7-8)

Breathe in a rhythm that soothes your soul.

Inhale. Exhale. Reset. Re-Connect
