Meet Marta Troya.

Marta is a Spanish visual artist exploring the meeting point between contemporary art and ancestral craft, where pattern and repetition become more than technique — a meditative, almost ritual practice.

During her residency at Volubilis in May, the garden became her studio. Its colours, textures and atmosphere entered into her creative process, inspiring a series of works made during and around her time here.

On September 26, these works return to the garden for an evening exhibition, with Marta present to share the work and the ideas behind it.

Come and experience the pieces in the place where they began. Take your time with the work, meet the artist, and join us for an evening of art, conversation, drinks and good company.

Não é preciso zangar-me.
Dia 38 na Índia - a 9 de janeiro de 2014. Obrigada à Andreia do passado :)💫

When I’m considering an artist and their work, I never start by asking what’s happening in the market.

Thanks PADA team and @sergiofazendarodrigues

Great to be part of this Residency. Time to question, unpack, reflect, review intentions.
