Awwwww 🥹TODAY was such a beautiful reminder that there is ALWAYS more to do, more to become and more room to grow. ✨

Had the privilege of stealing a little QT with the legendary JAYNE KENNEDY, a trailblazer and barrier-breaker! A woman who didn’t just take up space in media, entertainment and sports broadcasting, but helped pave the way for generations of women to do the same. 👏🏽 ✨✨

Equally grateful to be surrounded by such an esteemed circle of inspiring leaders, a testament to the magic that happens when women come together, share wisdom and make room for one another

When the Mayor of @missouricitytx and Houston’s Mayor Pro Tem @marthatatum sit down for a fireside chat, you pull up a chair. ☕️🏙️

Thank you to the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce for a great Southwest Houston/Fort Bend luncheon at Quail Valley Golf Club with @mayorrobinelackatt and Mayor Pro Tem Martha Castex-Tatum.

I left inspired and full of ideas, and I’m grateful for leaders who are building what’s next for our region.

So great to see @mrsnikkihandy top-selling REALTOR in Sienna, too! 💛

A big thank you to the sponsors who made it happen: Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, One World Strategy Group, and Republic Services.

I moved to Missouri City kicking and screaming. Thirteen years later, I can’t imagine calling anywhere else home.

I shared this story today, and I wanted to share it with you, too.

I’m a native Houstonian, born and raised on the northeast side. When my husband wanted us to move 45 minutes away to Missouri City, all I could think about was everything I was leaving behind. My family. My familiar surroundings. The comfort of being able to turn the corner and be with the people I love.

We were still in the Houston area, but to me, that distance felt like a whole new world.

What I couldn’t see then was how much life was waiting for me here.

Over the past 13 years, Missouri City has become the backdrop for some of the happiest years of my life. It’s where we’ve built our family’s life, formed beautiful friendships, and found a community I’m proud to belong to. Somewhere along the way, the place I resisted became the place I wanted to put down roots.

Today, I had the opportunity to sit in a room with some of the leaders helping shape its future. Hearing about the vision for our city meant something different to me as a resident. I’ve watched new businesses open, new families arrive, and this community grow. I care deeply about what comes next because this is home.

Thank you to Houston Mayor Pro Tem @marthatatum for inviting me to the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Fort Bend Chapter event featuring Missouri City Mayor @robinjelackatt

Our mayor certainly kept us laughing! But what stayed with me most was his intention, his passion for serving our residents, and how deeply he cares about this city.

Sometimes, the move you resist becomes one of the greatest blessings of your life.

Missouri City has certainly been one of mine.

Congratulations to @thewomenshomehtx on the unveiling of “Faces of Change: Her Story is Houston’s Story”, a striking new mural by acclaimed Houston artist Anat Ronen. Close to 100 supporters gathered to celebrate the six extraordinary women featured in the mural and the vision behind the project. Guests gathered on the balcony of @velvettaco for a fun afternoon of connection and Houston pride, which included tacos, festive accompaniments, cake, and entertainment with an elevated view of the powerful new work. Six women. Six stories. One Houston.

This September, during Infant Hunger Action Month, Houston came together for one belief: no baby should go without the nutrition they need.

With Mayor Pro Tem Martha Castex Tatum as Honorary Chair, L.I.F.E. Houston’s Inaugural Citywide Formula Drive raised over $43,000+ in infant formula, and we’re still counting!

That means fewer parents stretching cans, rationing feedings, or choosing between groceries and a bottle. Thank you to the City of Houston, our partners, donors, churches, schools, and businesses who made it happen.

Infant hunger doesn’t end with September, and neither do we. Keep the momentum going by donating formula, hosting a drive, or giving at lifehouston.org.

Every baby in Houston deserves to thrive, every day of the year. #InfantHungerActionMonth #LIFEHouston #FeedingHungryBabies

For us, this one hits close to home. 💙

Houston’s Hiram Clarke community now has a new TechLink at the Vinson Neighborhood Library, bringing technology, education and digital resources directly into the South Side.

Council Member Martha Castex-Tatum shared how full-circle this moment feels after being raised in this community. We understand that feeling. LSCDF founder Mariela Aguirre was raised here too. To come back and see this kind of investment happening in the neighborhood that helped shape her means something different.

Technology access can open doors. Education can change trajectories. And when those resources are available right in the community, more families and young people have an opportunity to discover what’s possible.

We’re excited about what this can mean for Hiram Clarke, and we’re already thinking ahead to how LSCDF can hopefully bring workshops and community programming into this space next year.

South Side, this is for us. 🙌🏽
