I have trouble believing we are the same person. Me and this version of me that is much smaller and wearing color. Matt is fitted, nothing has changed. Music being passed down from my dad @martindball into me and @bronzevases . Him desperately trying to keep us from speeding up. We used to practice for hours and hours and hours. This was a beginning.

I saw a video of Olivia Rodrigo playing a lead during maggots for brains on stage in front of so many people and she seemed stressed and crushed it and I think it is so cool to learn something new and perform it in front of people. To just show up to a stage and do what you’re meant to do.

We were simultaneously so excited and so terrified in this video.

$✨Artist Spotlight: Martin Dominguez Ball✨ Art may ask us to witness what should not be ignored. In The Wolf Among Us, Martin Dominguez Ball presents a world fractured by fear, uncertainty, and displacement. Inspired by Picasso's Guernica, the composition is filled with figures reaching, crying out, and searching for safety as broken forms and scattered fragments press in from every direction. The oversized hands throughout the work reflects that desperation, reaching, grasping, shielding, and trying to hold onto one another amid the chaos. A small dove appears almost lost within the chaos, while a dark wolf pushes beyond the edge of the painting, reminding us that some threats refuse to stay contained. Working across painting, sculpture, film, and design, Dominguez Ball embraces uncertainty as an essential part of his creative process. In The Wolf Among Us, that creative openness gives shape to a deeply human story, one that speaks to vulnerability, resilience, and the realities faced by those forced to leave home in search of safety. The Wolf Among Us is currently on view and available for acquisition at Bank Art Gallery.
