EPISODE 8
The (M)Esaiah

Florence, 3 April 2023

Our first super thick edition!
Around 100 works were made in this session... it may have had something to do with many to-be OGs making their debuts.

It was the first session for Mira, Dom, and Martin, as well as Cleofe and Ian.

It was the first Florence edition where we had to fare well to our day one mister Esaiah, who had just moved to Rome (which didn’t stop him from hopping on the train almost every week to minimise missing subsequent Mondays). Therefore we named the session after this favourite biblical friend of ours, with the word play on The (M)Esaiah.

Cleofe, everyone’s favourite catholic sweetheart, blessed the evening literally and figuratively, adding colour and joy to the edition with bursting sunflowers. The session was filled with biblical symbolism, resulting in a gift being added to this episode - a little bottle of Acqua Santa, or holy water.

We had many of Mira’s wonderfully strange, eclectic, colourful dream worlds. She had come for two weeks from Rome and brought her two cats with her. She cooked a most delicious meal, a classic Mira dish - one she cannot explain herself, can never be replicated, but manages to hit the spot of tasty and nourishing in equal high measure.

Dom debuted at the session with his classic and elegant simple line pieces we have all come to love.

Baby James was too busy crunching numbers on the line with Hong Kong to make many pieces. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it while the kids play.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon, a fermentazione spontanea.

E a voi? Quale vi chiama di più? Fateci sapere qui sotto :)
