Gratitude.

Spending a week in Girona, riding bikes, and learning about the community is a core memory for me.

A MASSIVE shoutout to @ayesuppose for taking me under her wing and guiding my entire trip. The laughs, the talks, the food were absolutely superb! Top tier!

I will never stop raving about the power of the bicycle and the amazing places and people it’s brought into my life. And I’ll never stop working to make it an equitable space for all.

We have a very exciting collaboration to announce!

Cycling Culture Club and @castellicycling are coming together to launch Momentum, a kit capsule designed to celebrate and promote diversity in cycling while supporting our work in this space.

In collaboration with Castelli, we're hosting a networking evening during @thetraka week (as well as trail runs and the closing party!), featuring a panel of exceptional individuals discussing diversity in cycling and how we can continue to widen representation in our sport.

Attendees will also get a preview of the collection and first access to the pre-order. Join us for chats, nibbles, and stickers on the evening of April 30th at the Castelli Girona store. Details above.

The rain finally stopped and for this I am glad.

Anyone else get really sad when the weather is bad. @bossmeem tried to convince me to move to Seattle a while back, I knew I’d never survive…

Anywho, I exist again if you’re in Girona and wanna play outside. What a lovely place to be!

‘The 1903 Project’ saw me re-trace the original Tour de France across six days, using the same two gears they had 120 years ago. No peloton, no closed roads — just a sense of adventure and a determination to explore.

I spun and bounced my way around France, often wishing I had a couple more gears. But riding it this way changed my perspective of the original race and the effort of those 60 riders — the simplicity, the discomfort, and the kind of resilience that feels almost forgotten today.

My talented mate @hei.arnau has turned the whole thing into a beautiful film that we’ll be sending live on YouTube this Friday. If the ride itself doesn’t pull you in, Arnau’s cinematography surely will 🤌🏽🤌🏽

I hope these shots give the rest of you in the north a bit of warmth too.

A une semaine de @laciclobrava 100 km et du @seaottereurope de Girona, j'ai participé a un social ride avec @velodrom.cc et @velocioapparel et ce fut une fantastique expérience de partage et de bonne humeur.

Merci a @sidneylewis et @christine_lewis_70 pour nous avoir préparé cette balade entre Gironnés et Alt Emporda. J'ai fait de super rencontre et j'ai enfin vu l'Odéon !!!

@martymartinho and @bossmeem started as strangers—cities apart, eventually connecting through social media, mutual connections, and the unspoken bond of being Black cyclists in a space where they rarely saw themselves represented. Unknown to them before they met, they have a lot in common; both riding bikes from childhood, getting involved in fixie culture in Brooklyn, New York and Chicago, Illinois respectively, before finding themselves on the road racing scene in later years. With Marty moving to Girona to enjoy better cycling conditions and cultural exploration, Will and his partner were later inspired by him to follow.⁠

Now, they find themselves in a community built of riders who are constantly training and chasing fitness goals, outliers in use of the bike more as a means of community and connection, for exploration of new landscapes with no particular place to be and more of a no-pressure approach to their ride. As Will put it, the mentality is one of « Let’s just do the thing ». Not translating as slow and easy rides but effort-fuelled stints where you still can enjoy conversation and getting deeper into topics; fostering more understanding of each other than you’d get over an evening dinner.⁠

It’s an experience to which many riders can relate: where cycling transforms friendships into something more akin to family, and miles on the road evolve into decade-long associations. Capturing the journey, @aleixferrerr followed the pair riding in the M3 Sport, a shoe developed for exactly this purpose; serving riders seeking speed, expression and close connection with the community around them.⁠
