Spring Equinox 🌸

The time when I attempt to bring myself out of hibernation, I’ve been in deep hibernation the last few months, if I’m honest I’m finding it challenging how to navigate myself in the world right now unless I am with my closest closest people, I feel so deeply peaceful alone, I spent a lot of my time wondering if this is unhealthy and I need to get out and socialise more because that’s what you’re meant to do right?

I love people, I love connecting with family, friends, new beautiful souls, but I need it to be real, authentic and that’s not always easy as the world is consistently telling us we need to be more, that we’re not enough.

I’m enough, I know I am, I want to just show up it’s easier, less exhausting, I want to just be me and fully accepted as me.

I feel it all, I feel everything so so deeply, it’s overwhelming, it’s painful, it’s joyful, it’s blissful it’s sometimes just too much.

So…. I go inwards to reenergise to my safe peaceful space.

“Let it OUT… 🦁”

Something changed for me that day.

Something deep in my ancestral DNA was reclaimed.

I reconnected with brothers in a space that was reminiscent of times when the first people walked this planet.

There was vocal activation, embodiment, open communication, dance, ritual combat, brotherhood and HEALING for MANDEM.

I speak for myself when I say that I have not really had many elders in my life.

Especially ones that look like me, to pass their wisdom, their insights and the linages of the tribes from the birthplace of civilisation. I feel like in this space I found some. In different forms, ages and shades, sharing the insights of our cultures with the next generation of melanated kings in mind.

The ancestral wounds stop here

At @sonsofzion.uk it felt like a gathering and recalibration of a new narrative while creating an ancient future. Parts of me I have had to “tame” had their space and parts of me I didn’t know where missing came back.

They were seen and appreciated by brothers that look like me in ceremonial setting for the first time in my life.

If you are of black heritage and calling in your tribe, your bros and your mandem… This space is for you!
