All white, live jazz, poetry, beautiful people, and an evening filled with nothing but good energy. This entire night was a whole vibe.

Some nights just remind you how beautiful it is to bring people together… and this was definitely one of them.

Columbus, we might have to do this again! 🤍

Last week I attended The Skin Games for my very first year competing and WOW I had the time of my life - at the 10 year anniversary of the games no less!!

So much to celebrate!! 🤠
I met so many amazing people & estheticians, I’m so looking forward to experiencing everyone’s career and growth! 🌱

What struck me most was that everyone was celebrating each other, from our finalist interviews to live competitions everywhere, everyone was lifting one another up and wishing for the best! 🫶 We have an amazing community!

The competition was filled with so much love! 🥰
🥳 Congratulations to everyone who competed, the finalists and our esthetician of the year! @michaelrazzanoskin 🤩

Welcome to February! This is a powerful month of reflection, education, and action.

It is a time when the resilience, brilliance, and contributions of Black leaders—past, present, and future is acknowledged and celebrated.

Were you aware that it is also National Cancer Prevention and National Heart Health Month?

For National Cancer Prevention Month, as a 2x cancer survivor I remind you that self care and early detection save lives. So please be mindful of spots, lumps, and any functional change to your body.

For National Heart Health Month, as someone dealing with post chemotherapy heart failure please listen to the messages from our body crying out for us to prioritize our health. Every day we get to make choices that can strengthen our hearts - the choice is yours - choose wisely!

Remember we are better together!

Whenever someone contributes to the GoFundMe Toni and Leslie made to help me smile again it warms my heart because they didn't have to. This time Katie Neely is added to the growing list of supporters. Thank you so much Katie!

Have you used "Katie's Umami Seasoning" yet? It's great on everything! You can thank me later! (https://www.itsgreatoneverything.com/)

Joy overflows for me when I meet someone, they learn of my denture situation and say they promise to contribute and they keep their word.

No one has to support the GoFundMe that Toni and Leslie made to help me smile again.

I know lots of people and appreciate the prayers, words of encouragement, contributions and promises of helping.

Just know that this time in my life is made easier thanks to you, you, and you!

Talk about an Unexpected Blessing! I ran into this young lady at Budget today. The agent asked if I had a reservation. I said yes and that my name was Mary Jenkins. The lady goes "wait I know that name, Mary Jenkins as in cancer?" She knew exactly who I was and began to say our being present at the same time was divine because someone she loves just got diagnosed with rare cancer.

She knows who I am thanks to my longtime sista-friend Laura (the 1st to support Toni & Leslie's GoFundMe) and said my book "Destined to Overcome" is on their table at home. SMALL WORLD! She even blessed me with $20 to help get my smile back. This was our FIRST TIME meeting and she wanted to help. I am humbled by her compassion.

One never knows when, where or through whom blessings will come. Her loved one is in my prayers.

Happy Monday... January 12...

On this day in 2006 I was struggling emotionally and mentally. The challenge of my faith had begun and I was determined to win. In the days prior at the age of 39 I had a mammogram where the doctor "saw something" and recommended my having a biopsy before leaving that day. Although they said I might experience some pain things went smooth.

After putting the tissue sample in a solution the radiologist said "based off the way the tissue is reacting it is cancerous we just won't know the degree until we get the lab results."

I will never forget hearing those words and what hearing them invoked in me in that moment.

Thank you to those who contributed to Toni and Leslie's GoFundMe to help me get my smile back.

The dentures I'm wearing are temps as preparation is made for the Aveoloplasty surgery and biopsy.

They don't look too bad... just still cause me to gag and they irritate a few spaces on top and bottom gums.
