I generally leave my real-life status set to "do not disturb" and am content in avoiding others. However, a package recently arrived here at the asylum with my name prominently featured as the addressee, so my inquisitive nature overruled my distaste for interaction which required an investigation. It might be food! After commanding catdad to unwrap the contents and stealing the phone from Fritzl (who was getting ready to tell about the time he broke catdad's toes), I found myself face to face with a perfect recreation of one of the first photos ever taken here! Not accustomed to receiving gifts, I immediately took offense and attempted to attack this lovely work of art before the correctional initiatives (treats, and lots of them) were presented to modify my apparently inappropriate behavior. "Chester, it's your 3 year adoption day present from @mascarapony !" said catmom, cruelly reminding me of my regrettable decision to follow the male fool home from the shelter. I reckon this thoughtful gift will serve to alleviate a small portion of my ever present self-loathing for being suckered by the deceitful promise of unlimited food and the abundance of unrequested love and affection given by my captors. Remember Boodeeno!!?? I rescued him from the shelter when his owner had to surrender him for reasons beyond his control...
This is what his foster mom @mascarapony has to say... This Charming boy still needs a furrrever home...he is full of character.. he needs a cat Savvy person who will respect and enjoy his quirky personality...
He is 8 years old chirps when he sees you and when you pet him... when you hold him in your arms he purrs and drools! He's not a lap cat (yet) but he likes to sit next to me....he is a very good boy!!😻🐾❤

Alright! Let’s end 2018 with an IG post that is nothing but love and light and positivity. Something that will warm your heart and restore your faith in humans. As my IG family knows I am a big advocate for senior dog adoption - thanks to finding @susiesseniordogs here. Yesterday I had the opportunity to help do a transport with some other very awesome folks. We got a thirteen-year-old pupper named Jumping Tiger out of a shelter in Miami and into the arms and home of his new family in Massachusetts. David and I did the NC to VA part and Liam, Phoebe and I did the VA to NYC leg of the trip! I have tagged each of the lovely IG friends that I have as a result of SSD in this post - not just the ones involved in this particular rescue. I love you all and when I think of you I think of the transformative power of love and kindness. By the way - the shelter that kept Tiger so lovingly until his forever home was found is @bornfreepetshelter and the people there are amazing. His forever mama Meghan is a kindred spirit as are all of the folks that drove the various parts of the 1,500 mile trip from lonely to loved. Thank you all for building a community that I am so proud to be part of. I love you. As for my non-SSD friends on IG - consider adopting or fostering a senior dog. ❤️🐶 Tiger - enjoy the rest of your love story. (If I overlooked any of my SSD pals it was an accident and shout me out so I can put you in!)😘
