من فيلم “ديك البلد”، فيلم قصير من إخراج ناتالي ماهر، وإنتاج ماجي مرجان. الفيلم بيحكي عن قرية ممنوع فيها الديوك.. وعن عماد اللي بيقرر يخاطر ويهرب ديك لبيته!

مبسوط جداً إني شاركت كمصور الفوتوغرافيا للفيلم، دي من أقرب التجارب لقلبي. وفخور جداً برحلة الفيلم اللي بدأت بعرضه في الدورة الـ ١٢ لمهرجان إسكندرية للفيلم القصير، وحالياً تم اختياره ضمن البرنامج الخاص لمهرجان “سينيتوال” (Cinetoilè) السينمائي في تونس. 🐓🎬

‏From “The Village Rooster,” a short film directed by Nathalie Maher and produced by Maggie Morgan. The film is about a village where roosters are banned... and Emad, who decides to take a risk and smuggle a rooster into his home!

‏I am very happy to have participated as the still photographer for this film‪,‬ one of the closest experiences to my heart. I am incredibly proud of the film’s journey, starting with its screening at the 12th Alexandria Short Film Festival, and now its selection in the special program at the Cinetoilè Film Festival in Tunisia.

First gig in the books and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better night We brought something fresh to the scene, and the crowd matched the energy from start to finish 😮‍💨😮‍💨

🎬 I always loved this scene on the Corniche in Alexandria. A suspended moment where Sue could finally say goodbye to her mother… perhaps begin to grieve. Two women who, in many ways, missed each other – and yet, despite everything, there was still love between them. Fragile, awkward, never fully expressed.

And yet, this ending kept Sue in the shadow of that bond – in that lack, in that longing for recognition that held her back from moving forward: in love, in her relationship to men, in her own freedom.

So, with a heavy heart but a clear conviction, we chose to let her go in another way. To open a door, rather than close one. Here is this alternative ending of 𝘽𝘼𝘾𝙆 𝙏𝙊 𝘼𝙇𝙀𝙓𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙍𝙄𝘼 (وحشتيني), which I still deeply love.
I hope you’ll embrace it too… ⛱️

I know my stories seem very delightful lately but the past month was actually extremely difficult and i’m in fact not going through the best times and not feeling very well most of the time.

But this past year has been about relearning the lessons I forgot, and this past month was about relearning one particular lesson; that in difficult times, never forget the things you enjoy and the people you love.

And like all else, one way or another… this shit will pass as well🌻
