Being in politics means building relationships.
Compromise will be required for good governance.
Collaboration is possible with minority governments because people need to co-operate to move legislation forward

Some values cannot be compromised.

Elected officials are responsible for keeping people safe: whether free from violence for simply existing, or free to receive the life-saving care that they need.

While I wish that N95 mask mandates returned to all indoor facilities, my mission is simpler than that. Only in the most vulnerable situations, like receiving emergency care or attending specialist or primary care provider appointments.

Life is already risky. We don't need to be careless. 😷 [masked emoji]
A society is judged by how we care for our most vulnerable. We can do better.

Hi!
I’m Dae.
Last weekend = 2 very different shows.
Friday Night @maskquerade.events
Saturday Night @bellsandwhistlesburlesque

What do ducks, masks, capes, a cactus, @orvillepeck and @boblog111 have in common? Nothing but me and things I like. 🤷‍♀️

Producers need to be clear when you book me on your expectations or things may go sideways. But also know I’m very good at understanding the assignment and the audience. Also .. book me for a floor show.. take a chance. I love them so much. I don’t have anything booked for Oct but I will be onstage with my beloved @discosquad.yvr on Oct 17 Rio and I’ll be greeting you at the door @flapperlounge on 15th for Bee’s Knees. ( @meadow.physical.productions

Shoutout to @fayehavoc for dancing with me while I’m in a cardboard box . And thank you to @alicecarte_ on Sat for getting me in and out of the lobby without offending anyone.

Don’t be boring.

Ps: BANDS! I want to gogo more often. Get at me.

Looking for a special hand-knit item for yourself or a friend? I’ll be vending this weekend at Experimental Phase, Friday night at The Cobalt, and at April O’Peel’s Burlesque and Variety Show, Saturday night at The Rio. Lots of new flower lariats and pussy pockets to choose from, and as always, happy to create the knitwear of your dreams with custom orders.

See you soon!
🩷, Hotsy

part one of a visual reminder that though 2025 was pretty terrible, it wasn’t all bad. AND! you can wear a mask and still have a great time. and it’s safer. doctors HATE this one simple hack!

2025 Recap (Oct-Dec)

For the last few months of the year I continued to help out at local shows like @aprilopeelproductions & the @bellsandwhistlesburlesque charity show! I performed in @maskquerade.events & debuted my Chang'e act.

I performed in my 14th @mpwrdance heel progressive & made my ballet debut as the Rat Queen with @prodance.ca for their charity Nutcracker show!

I participated in the @vibfa
fundraiser photoshoot with @currentlydre
& @tomgouldphotog . I had my 4th shoot with @gloss_boudoir & became an ambassador for @mossboudoir (finally shot at the Moss Mansion! 😍🎉)

It was also such an honor to be mentioned for Best Kitty on @imperial_burlesque_canada 's survey!

2025 has been incredible & I cannot wait for 2026! So many things are in the works and I cannot wait to share what I've been cultivating for the year of horse! 🐎

2025 was filled with many challenges for me but I am grateful I got to finally reconnect with burlesque this year! Big thank you to @maskquerade.events and @rentchequeparties for hosting accessible and community care centred events! It was great to try out hosting for the first time and do some kittying ❤️

I’ve taken a step back from burlesque for the last couple of years due to health issues but keep your eyes peeled because one day I will hit the stage again! Although I am not performing quite yet I am available for hire to kitty or host your shows 😽💋

☀️🏝️EXPERIMENTAL PHASE🏝️☀️

I AM FINALLY POSTING THESE AMAZING PICTURES BY @soft.kaur FROM SEPTEMBER !!!!!!

this show is always one of my favourites to be apart of. the attention to community care as well as the freedom to explore new things as an artist in a welcoming environment is so crucial 💕💕 thank you @dezidesire // @maskquerade.events for the space to create ((AND ALSO FOR LENDING ME THE CROCODILE))

for this act i just really wanted to channel the energy of a middle aged man having a fun vacation in like florida or something 🫡 september was such a cool and crazy whirlwind of a month AND I HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME GETTING TO DO THIS !!!! it is so fun to just let yourself fall totally into the silliness of a number 🐊

i also blew up the croc inflatable with nothing but patience and lung power so that was a huge win in my books ✨ thank you to this whole cast for being so fun and spectacular !!!!!

@maskquerade.events x @rentchequeparties' Experimental Phase was such a fun show! Thank you @dezidesire for having me & putting on such an accessible show for the community! I had this Chang'e Moon Goddess act in my mind since my debut and this was the perfect space to create the 1st draft!
