I recently came across this photo, taken at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem in 2018. I had posed in front of this cool painting—titled Whenever the Rainbow Appears—but I felt too self-conscious sharing the photo online. I thought some of my friends at the time would tease me or think the photo wasn’t cool enough💔. So I didn’t, and I felt really sad that I let my intimidation and fear stop me from expressing myself. Fear of social judgment is powerful and the “me” of that year wasn’t ready to risk social rejection. Fast-forward years later, and it feels like all I do sometimes is pose in front of art😂🙏🏻and then share those photos online! It feels immensely freeing to be expressing myself now without fear—and without the needless weight of some of those old relationships. So my bottom line is: Life is short. Enjoy what you love, and share it with your world. And ignore any voices that make you feel like you can’t, or that it’s not cool enough. Turns out there’s no such thing. The rainbow appeared, and if I could visit my younger self again I’d give her a hug and save us all a lot of time by posting this picture already! Thanks to @castelblancophotography who captures my photos so very well. 🌈🦄💗💕🎨#navagrant #navagrantcoaching #israel #israelmuseum #art

Tournament Setting - This is our second annual Big Ball at Maspeth Squash. Last year’s event celebrated the outdoor spirit of handball, racquetball, and paddleball pros.

Here’s the story of the first Big Ball. https://maspethsquash.com/big-baller

This year, our draw celebrates the pros who’ve come out to play squash tournaments, last year’s Big Ball finalist, the 2013 UK Racketball Champion, players on the Squash Doubles Pro Tour and the PSA Squash Tour, and top College Squash teams. Some Pros have played Squash57 competitively. For others, it might be the first time playing a tournament match. It’s sure to be the first outdoor Squash57 pro tournament. We hope it’s a great experience.

The draw is based on squash rankings….available on ClubLocker.

Scheduling - Round of 16 on Friday. Quarters and Semis on Saturday, Final on Sunday. Competition - Matches will be best of 3 games. All games are sudden death to 11. Squash57 rules (i.e., Squash with different service rules). Venue - All matches are on the steel court in Maspeth. However, rained-out matches will be hosted at the University Club. Players will be advised of any changes as far in advance as possible. Refereeing - Players will referee the next match. We will have a WSO referee for the final. The Big Ball - Price of Bath is the official Squash57 ball. $6K will be paid out in cash, in line with PSA $6K distributions as a guide.

Thank you Jaymie Haycocks @jaymiehaycocks , pro at NYAC, and Travis Judson, pro at The University Club of NY for guiding us in this great Squash57 adventure in NYC.

A cantilevered stone staircase executed with full-height glass railings, recessed handrail detailing, and concealed lighting seamlessly integrated into the structure.

What appears effortless is the result of precise coordination between design vision and expert fabrication.

Luxury construction is a team sport — precision is the standard.

Thirteen windows with unobstructed views to the south and northeast. A clean, blank canvas. A solarium. These and other Zen-inducing qualities prompted a young professional in the arts to leave his beloved former loft for the brighter pastures of this East Village duplex. Designer Ellie Cullman, alongside colleague Ali Little, architect Andrew Oyen and general contractor Will Martinez, set about reconceiving the space to showcase their client’s love of art, design and the downtown scene.

The idea of installing rides at the top of a 90-year-old urban icon is enough to make anyone’s stomach drop--but the team behind New York’s Top of the Rock Redevelopment pulled it off, at one of the most complex jobsites in the world.

Some 40,000 lbs of steel reinforcement now give visitors a thrilling new way to connect with the skyline and recreate the famous "Lunch Atop a Skyscraper," an image that helped define early 20th-century construction. It’s a bold reminder of how steel brings imagination to life, even when the sky’s the limit.

Get the scoop on this award-winning structural attraction at aisc.org/topoftherock.

Projects like this inspire not only awe but also recognition. Think your project has what it takes to stand among the icons? Clear an hour or two from your calendar and submit it for the 2026 IDEAS Awards at aisc.org/ideas. Hurry--submissions close in just over one week!
