Excited to take on the 2027 Boston Marathon thanks to @massgeneralbrigham , a leading healthcare system known for its cancer care, research, and commitment to improving outcomes for cancer patients.

I know we’ve done quite a few fundraisers over the years, and I appreciate everyone who continues to donate. It means so much to see the support. The goal for this year is quite large, so I plan to do a few fundraising events. I’ll post updates with plans for those as they come. The link for the fundraiser is my bio.

But a massive thank you to @tedborgman . I knew I wanted to do Boston, but he wanted to run the Cape Cod Marathon, which I really wouldn’t have done without him. He showed me I’m capable of the 26.2. And thank you for this video. Now let’s actually train for this one.

Last month, Blue Bridge convened leaders from across Massachusetts at the State House to address a critical challenge: expanding access to clinical research and increasing participation among populations historically underrepresented in clinical trials.

The discussion brought together leaders in healthcare, life sciences, patient advocacy, academia, and public policy to examine gaps in research participation and explore opportunities to build stronger pathways between healthcare institutions, researchers, and the populations they serve.

We were honored to have State Senator Liz Miranda @replizmiranda deliver opening remarks and are grateful to the speakers who shared their expertise, experiences, and perspectives.

“The best part is walking into the studio. There’s so much intention around it being a safe, welcoming haven. I wasn’t expecting that...I used to think dance was a thing one performed for an audience. I’m coming to see that dance is something else: a way to build connection with my body and my subconscious. It’s changing my life. Brain/body connection, something I never understood, now has meaning.”

In case you haven't heard.... Mass General Brigham recently highlighted Dance For Dizziness, a pilot program bringing together dance, neuroscience, and community to support people living with persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD).

This concept, inspired in part by Dance for PD, was developed by Mass General Brigham Neuroscience Institute neurologists Anand Bery, MD, and Galina Gheihman, MD, and in partnership with Ana Sanchez Junkin, PT, DPT, NCS, a physical therapist at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Betsi Graves, founder and director of Urbanity, with support from medical students Rachel Sturley and Christine Wakayama.

At Urbanity, we believe dance should be accessible to everyone, regardless of physical ability, diagnosis, or prior experience. 💛 We’re grateful to be part of this work exploring the power of movement to support well being and connection.Dance For Dizziness is part of Urbanity's Movement Meets program, customized dance classes that “meet” a life-altering physical or mental challenge through embodied movement.
