Last Thursday, our Miss Jamaica World 2026 contestants were graciously hosted by the Bank of Jamaica (@centralbankjamaica) for lunch and the Head-to-Head Challenge Finals, where ten finalists showcased their confidence, intelligence and passion for issues that matter!

The finalists delivered thought-provoking presentations on the topic, “Financial Literacy is Not a Privilege but a Necessity for Women and Children,” before the top four advanced to the final round to explore the relevance of the Miss Jamaica World Pageant in today’s society.

🏆 And our Head-to-Head Top 3 are:

🥇 1st Place: Deidrie Wadsworth – Miss Knutsford Express

🥈 2nd Place: Matea Mahal Smith – Miss Aveeno

🥉 3rd Place: Realla Benguche – Miss BJ’s Travel Ltd.

Congratulations to Deidrie Wadsworth, who has officially secured her spot in the TOP 12 of Miss Jamaica World 2026!

Our top three also walked away with J$50,000, J$20,000 and J$10,000 in JAM-DEX, respectively!

🎀 DON’T LET FEAR STAND IN THE WAY OF YOUR HEALTH!

Early detection saves lives, and awareness makes a difference!

Breast cancer remains the leading cancer among women in Jamaica, making awareness and regular screening more important than ever.

As part of our Miss Jamaica World 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness initiative, Matea shared an empowering message about the importance of early detection and overcoming the fear often associated with mammograms.

Addressing the common misconception that mammograms are frightening or painful, Matea shared that her aunt underwent screening at APEX Radiology and found the experience comfortable and painless. Most importantly, she felt relieved knowing she had taken that important step towards protecting her health.

Matea’s message to women is simple: Don’t focus on the fear; focus on the long-term benefits of knowing your breast health status. While experiences with mammograms may vary, fear should never prevent us from prioritising our well-being.

Let’s continue to educate, encourage, and empower women to take charge of their breast health! 💕
