I married an amazing guy! @daniloumana_ has always been the greatest supporter of our kids dreams as well as mine. He has selflessly given whatever he could whether it be prayers, time, encouragement or finances to help us all without asking for anything for himself. When we decided I would go back to school and finish my midwifery degree, he was all in and contributed in more ways than I could even mention here. Suffice it to say there were times I needed to be away a lot, for weeks at a time, and he kept everything afloat and did his best to make up for a very busy mom. Of course the financial burden was also significant. It was beyond tough but at no point did he let me feel guilty or allow me to quit. He reassured me it would all work out and he was right (cont in comments)

When my older brother went to the States for school he gave me stuff to keep. Mostly clothes and a few bracelets, this among them. I eventually made it a necklace for myself. It at first didn’t mean much to me besides the fact I like anchors and this was one I could wear. After a while, I put it on and decided to never take it off. I’ve been wearing it for over a year and a half straight. Always on me. I had the idealism that I’ll rest my anchor when I find home. My home. When I know where I want to stay. Recently it’s been starting to wear down, I’ve had to fix it a few times over past weeks but this morning it gave way. And my idealism did change with it. While other times whenever it would become loose, break etc. I’d panic and my heart would drop because I wasn’t ready for it to be gone, this morning I woke up to the anchor disconnected from the leather and I didn’t feel that. My mind went to another thought. My home will never be in one spot, it’s never been a place. It’s been the people in my life who make me have my solitude. So as I used to wear this necklace waiting for my home to come to me. I’ve realized that within the people in my life, I know where I belong. I have my safety and my happiness. And I finally rest my anchor

It’s not about the destination it’s about the Journey ~ R.W. Emerson or something idk
I love my family dearly and I am so amazed by the fact I’ve completed such a huge part of my life, it sucks we aren’t all together when it happened but I find comfort knowing you support me unconditionally. I love you all
