8-week post-crash post-surgery update: I am making good progress in the boot — 75% body weight on the injured side, 2 more sessions of formal physical therapy, single-crutching, 30-minute trainer rides, upper body strength training, went out for lunch with my girl, multiple coaching calls, made it into and out of the Rush concert safely, first drive since August, keeping my Duolingo streak alive, and survived another Buffalo Bills provoked arrhythmia! Whew! 😱 Stay tuned for more ramping up of recovery activity. 😅 #trimalleolaranklefracture (with sydesmosis disruption) #mtbinjury #cyclinginjury #untilicantican #dohardstuff @theblackbibs @flowformulas @flowformulas_ambassadors @esigrips @eggletonperformancecoaching

Tag along with me while I tackle the Zwift route "Fuhgeddaboudit." It's a 49 mile route with several long climbs, so I share the approach I teach for managing long efforts like this. “Bro! Hard workouts are hard!” — perhaps my greatest hard coaching moment. The point was made and rang clearly. We do these things BECAUSE they are hard, not so that anything gets any easier. 👊🏻💥 #hardworkoutsarehard #untilicantican #envisionplanprepareexecute #eggletonperformancecoaching #theblackbibs @matt.eggleton

Strength training is super important for everyone. Period. Full stop. Cyclists that skip it are missing out in a big way. I learned this the hard way after being one that skipped it for years. Thankfully, it's never too late, and you can make up a lot of ground fairly quickly by beginning today. Squat, press, pull, and hinge. Everything else is just an accessory to do those things better. I'm happy to share what I've learned. Just shoot me a note. #untilicantican #dohardstuff #strength #homegym #cyclingstrength #theblackbibs
