Excited to be going back to Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX tmrw. It’s a genre festival, which means you’re gonna see some of the weirdest, most violent, and often hilarious movies ever made.

Last year I did DOUG LOVES MOVIES podcast tapings both before and during Fantastic Fest. Two of these pics are from backstage at the show we did at Creek & The Cave.

Last year the theme of Fantastic Fest was Medieval Times, so of course there was a dragon atop the place where it all happens, Alamo Drafthouse on Lamar Blvd.

This year the theme is monsters so who knows what will be looming!

I do a lot of drinking and smoking at FF, so I don’t fully remember the late night screening of DILDO HEAVEN haha.

Hey look who was there! You never know who is gonna show up at FF! This year I’m hoping for a Robert Pattinson appearance (they will be showing his movie PRIMETIME).

This Friday we will be doing an 11:00am taping of DLM in Alamo Drafthouse’s bar, The Highball. Come on by if you’re in the area, you can probably slip in without a festival badge.

But you will need a festival badge or purchase a stand-by ticket for THE BENSON MOVIE INTERRUPTION on Monday at 2:00pm. Bring a movie on Blu-Ray or DVD and maybe we’ll watch it.

I’m here for all of your Fantastic Fest questions. I would volunteer to be the fest’s mascot, but they’ve already got Chingu. A word that means friend, I’ve been told.

Oh! And, you can’t attend Fantastic Fest and not make new friends. So get ready for that, you social misfits!

The Bearden household made a slight error when ordering their holiday ham. Don’t worry, the one person allowed to eat said it was very good. You ever make an HEB Curbside order mistake?
