All about reels 📱

Nowadays most of what I shoot is vertical content for mobile first consumption.
Struggled for a while to get stable shots without rigging up a gimbal. Enjoying shooting handheld more at the moment. What has helped is a heavier setup with a wider handle set (the quick release ones from @falcam_official are great as I can transition the setup from vertical to horizontal in less than a minute)

I also like being able to zoom quickly so I can get different shots without changing lenses. 24-70 is a go to, and I often use the APSC crop mode on my A7IV via a shortcut button to quickly get some extra range (basically like a 105mm then)

BTS from my conversation with Juan and Cameron a few months ago. Absolutely thrilled watching the big things both Juan and Cameron have been up to since then.

Juan has grown the Cinemate community, a screening community for solo filmmakers to showcase their work and share their stories, and he has launched his course for Pricing Creativity, which is an amazing financial toolset for freelancers to utilise.

Cameron has been travelling around the globe and growing his portfolio across Voyager Visual. He also has some exciting projects coming along about his filmmaking process (watch this space)

Cannot wait for an eventual part 2!
