ALIEN COVENANT DAVID'S DRAWINGS

An AWESOME and DARK collection of drawings, seen briefly in the film…..containing two books, to gain an insight into David's descent into madness
. Packed OVER TWO HUNDRED illustrations and an interview with Dane Hallett and Matt Hatton, the artists from the set.

Before Alien Covenant, David was stranded alone on the Engineers' planet and--left to his own dark devices--he began to push the boundaries of creation.

The sketchbook contains over two hundred illustrations from the set and will take you inside the mind of David. It features the complete arc of his journey from the studies of flora and fauna, to his more sinister experiments on creatures, and the disturbing demise of Dr. Elizabeth Shaw. The companion book, Developing the Art of an Android, holds an interview with Dane Hallett and Matt Hatton--the artists behind all of the beautifully grotesque sketches. Alien Covenant: David's Drawings will satisfy every serious fan's hunger for details of the most intriguing character from the Alien prequels.

📣 It’s DONE!!! 📣 Our Aussie independent sci-fi feature film @electricfeelmovie is 100% finished!!! This is a project that has been a battle for ten years to get made. Massive thanks to EVERYONE involved at every stage! What we lacked in money on a microbudget film, we gained in creative freedom. The performances are amazing, the pictures and sound are punching far above their weight. It’s a story with heart and a strong mental health theme that feels perfect for this moment in time.
We can’t wait for the world to see it. Trailer and more news coming soon!!! 🍿🍿 #indiefilm #filmmaking #movies #filmdistribution #australianfilm #film #cinema #scifi #mentalhealth

Complete strangers, who are somewhat famous, responded so kindly to an email I sent them.

I wrote to them to let them know that I mentioned them in episode 2 of Mirlo Blanco, just so they would know, and they replied super quickly and were super nice!

New in the Library:

*Alien Covenant: David's Drawings* by Dane Hallett & Matt Hatton (Titan Books 2018).

This slipcase contains a large-format hardback with the 200+ original drawings Hallett & Hatton created for the set of *Alien: Covenant* - detailing the artificial person David's psychotic experiments with the mutagenic compound discovered in the Engineers' compound in *Prometheus* - as well as softcover volume comprising interviews with the artists and a foreword by set decorator Victor Zolfo.

Here they are in action @matthatt0n - another wonderful set of dwarven braziers, raw and solid, without fuss but beauties in their own right. Brought to life by the incredible team led by @forging_studio.

Another prized possession of mine and something I don’t see shared as often, the artwork of David’s illustrations from Alien Covenant. It contains two books and shows David’s downward spiral into madness. It’s wonderful insight into the movie and gives more details, exposition, that we may not have gotten from the entire movie. @dane_hallett_art and @matthatt0n did exceptional and haunting work for the film and this book gives it to us all in exquisite detail. Recommend for any Alien fan!

I found these old photos of my little fetus.this was the second of 3 fetuses, which I created starting from the magnificent drawings of these two magnificent artists.
@matthatt0n e @dane_hallett_art
the concepts were in the Alien Covenant book. If you don't have it in your collection yet, I highly recommend purchasing it.
