The sculpture emerged from an exploration of forest environments, rethinking the value of
leftover wood and the proportions of a hunting stand.
The material used is crown wood, which would otherwise be left in the forest or processed
into wood chips.
The construction is based on simple forest typologys, relying on triangles, cross-bracing, and
minimal joints.
To complete the cycle, the stand was returned to the forest, where the material belongs.

Started the semester with a guided walk led by forester Sven Wurster, who is responsible for the Niendorfer Gehege. Learning about the
challenges of maintaining a balance between recreation, tree growth, deer populations, and
economic viability — a strong entry point for understanding the material flows that provide
us with the resource "wood"

Canopia (2025)
Aluminum & Textile

Canopia provides a shifting dappled shade, inspired by the experience of sitting beneath tree canopies.
The shade evokes a natural feeling through the association with sunlight filtering through leaves.
When sitting beneath the canopy, the sky remains visible through the mesh structure.
The mesh can be expanded or collapsed, allowing the density of the shade to be adjusted.
