May dump: pamilya at sayaw/famíla e dança

I swear there’s so much more I could post here but the 20-count limit is annoying.

1-4) one of my first gigs with @parangaldance : holding the umbrella during Singkil for @dantebasco and @alicerehemutula ‘s wedding reception. For those who don’t know, the Bascos are born and bred Baydestrians from Pittsburg and the reception itself was a surprise for the newlyweds.

📍Gruyére, Switzerland
📍Fribourg, Switzerland

Ever since I graduated from college, I’ve made it a goal to visit a new place every summer. I’ve managed to keep it up since 2016 (except for 2020—but we don’t talk about her 🤨)

What’s even better is getting to discover cities I’d barely heard of before, like Gruyère and Fribourg. Beyond the cheese fondue, Gruyère’s architecture (and the gardens at Château de Gruyère) were mesmerizing. Fribourg, our festival home base, wowed us with phenomenal views and charming downtown streets 🤩 Even more special—I got to share it all with my pamilya, and yes, we took pictures everywhere 🤣❤️

This Switzerland trip wouldn’t be possible for the amazing opportunity to represent the Philippines. Maraming Salamat @rfi_fribourg and of course to @parangaldance for letting me be a part of tours since 2017😙

Enjoy the photos of my pamilya, taken and edited by yours truly📸
Captured with my trusty @fujifilmx_us camera

A photo dump of days 3-5 with @parangaldance at @rfi_fribourg 🇨🇭

Tour life is hectic. Sleepless nights seem to be mandatory and the days seem to blend together.

Enjoy some photos and videos of moments beyond the stage: pre and post performance shenanigans, crowded elevators filled with instruments/luggages, impromptu cultural exchanges, excursions during free time, and most of all selfies and group photos 😗

Day 2 of tour with @parangaldance at @rfi_fribourg 🇨🇭

What an honor it is to be able to dance Banga. This was by far the most challenging dance I had to prepare for, and I pushed myself to make sure I could confidently balance 6 pots on my head. Shoutout to these wonderful human beings for hyping me up, putting the pots on my head, or for grabbing my pots when I get off stage. Check out the last pictures on some behinds the scenes of the process

There was so much kababayan love during Day 2! It felt amazing seeing the Philippine flag out in the crowd while we were dancing in the parade. More importantly, there were so many Filipinos that came out to support us! Who knew that we would have a whole village waiting for us in Switzerland? 🇵🇭
