Last week, our roasters Derek, Ben, and Matt headed to Minneapolis for Advanced Roaster Training at @millcityroasters. We learned alongside incredible roasters from across the country, soaked up the experience of the Mill City team, and visited great baristas and cafés all over the Twin Cities.

Huge thanks to @dogwoodcoffee, @port2050coffeeroasters, and @cafeimports for their generosity and hospitality. You made us feel right at home.

We’re back in Savannah and Hilton Head with new ideas and a lot of gratitude. Can’t wait to share all we’ve learned soon with some new stellar coffees coming your way soon! ✨

Happy Birthday to the love of my life. 🥹

Every year gets better. Every year I learn more about you, fall deeper in love with you, and have a greater appreciation for who you are not only to me but our kids. You’re the best & you’re deserving of everything good. 🫶🏼

Most people never see this part. ☕

Last night, Ben and Mo stayed (very) late to give our roaster a full deep clean—and it’s some of the most important work we do.

Here’s why it matters 👨🏻‍🔬

Coffee oils and residue build up inside a roaster over time. Left unchecked, they show up in your cup—stale buildup, inconsistent heat, off smoke. It’s subtle, but it’s there.

A clean roaster runs smoother and the coffee gets to be exactly what it should be.

The care that goes into your coffee starts long before it ever hits the cup—and a lot of it happens after hours, when nobody’s watching. That’s where these two come in. 🤙🏼

So from all of us: thank you, Ben and Mo. You make this place what it is, and we’re lucky to have you. 🖤

If you don’t see us around the shop for a moment, you know why. 🥹

We are so thankful for our family, our friends, and OCB. What a surreal time in life.

It’s hard to believe that today marks three years that our flagship café at MLK & Jones had its grand opening. 🎉

There are so many beautiful memories embedded into these walls. Thank you to everyone that’s made this journey so sweet—you literally make our dreams come true.

Please cry with us as we look through some of the journey to get here from humble mobile bar beginnings in 2020 and a seemingly forever buildout. 🥲

2025 In Review 👀

A big year at Origin Coffee Bar.

A new location.
Expanded roasting operations.
A growing team.

And the honor of being named Best Coffee House in Savannah.

None of it would be possible without our team and the community that continues to support us.

Thank you for being part of Origin. We’re excited for what’s ahead. 🤙🏼
