Jon Skywalker became one of the defining faces of the aesthetics era, but the physique was only part of the story.

Jon said that one part of his influence often gets overlooked: the honesty he brought into the fitness industry and how that inspired younger guys to believe they could build something of their own online.

He was influenced by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Frank Zane, Flex Wheeler, Lee Priest, Zyzz and Calum von Moger, then took those influences and built an identity that was distinctly his own.

For a generation that watched internet fitness explode, Jon was not just someone to look up to. He was someone who made people want to start.

This is only the introduction to the Jon Skywalker series.

🌾 FIBRE MAXXING — THE GAME CHANGER

Looking back at these pictures, the biggest lesson for me isn’t just losing weight — it’s learning how to eat in a way that actually keeps me full, satisfied and consistent.

That’s where Fibre Maxxing came in.

Instead of focusing only on eating less, I started focusing on foods that give me more fibre, more volume and more nutrition — vegetables, berries, oats, chia, beans, lentils and other high-fibre foods.

Fibre can help with fullness, digestive health and blood-sugar control, and it makes it much easier to build meals that keep you satisfied without relying on huge amounts of calories.

The goal isn’t to eat an insane amount of fibre overnight. Build it gradually, drink enough water, and let your body adjust.

This transformation wasn’t one magic food or one magic workout.

It was thousands of small decisions.

🌾 Eat more fibre.
🥩 Prioritize protein.
💧 Drink your water.
🚶 Keep moving.
🔥 Stay consistent.

Fibre Maxxing isn’t a diet. It’s a strategy.

Fibre Maxxing Day 1 and Day 14

I started fibre maxxing 14 days ago. My weight was 189lbs and now 187.2lbs. My Day 1 and Day 14 pictures look different because I zoomed in a little more than I should have, but I believe you can still see the difference. I can not wait to see what the next 16 days will bring to my transformation.

Slow and steady is not only okay. It’s GOOD! Too much fluctuating in weight can be like a Yo-Yo and almost frustrate you more.

Another bonus of going slow and steady is that it is well recognized that generally the slower the fat loss the more muscle you can retain assuming you are doing the appropriate resistance training and consuming sufficient protein.

Metabolic adaptation will respond better to slower fat loss phases rather than crash diets or severe restriction. If you don’t believe me then look at what happened to all the biggest loser contestants. Spoiler alert, it didn’t workout lose weight quickly for the long term.

The problem with this… it’s REALLY frustrating to lose 10lbs and not see a change in the mirror when you’ve been working hard and putting in the effort to eat the right things. The human nature is to want things immediately. But this is one of those things that takes time for your physiology to change and adapt. The sooner you accept that the better for long term sustainability.

🍺 Tonight I Thought About Having a Beer…

I didn’t drink one.

But for the first time since my gastric bypass surgery, I actually found myself thinking about it.

And honestly… that thought brought up a lot of emotions.

Nine months ago, I was a completely different person. Since my surgery, I’ve lost 98 pounds. Ninety-eight. That number still blows my mind when I actually stop and think about it.

I’ve changed the way I eat. I’ve changed the way I look at food. I’ve changed the way I look at myself.

And sometimes I still find myself wondering what my “new normal” is supposed to look like.

Something as simple as having a beer suddenly isn’t just having a beer anymore. After gastric bypass, alcohol can affect you very differently, and it’s something I have to take seriously.

So tonight, I thought about it… and I decided not to drink.

And I’m actually proud of that decision.

Not because having a beer would somehow erase everything I’ve accomplished, but because I’m learning that I don’t have to do everything just because I can.

98 pounds down. Nine months into this journey. And still learning who I am on the other side of surgery.

There are going to be moments when I question things. Moments when I miss the old normal. Moments when I wonder if I can have the things I used to enjoy.

But tonight reminded me that this journey isn’t just about losing weight.

It’s about learning to make choices that are right for me.

And sometimes, the strongest choice is simply saying, “Not tonight.” ❤️

Bro we get it enough of this ish already. Well as the saying goes prepare to be sick of me because I will keep sharing the struggles and the wins. We all struggle in some capacity and that’s what the human experience is. At the end of the you have your version of hard and so do I.
