on this Earth Day, i share my love to my van who has been the best cocoon through the most potent years of my life. she’s brought me a tremendous amount of joy living closely to the rhythms of nature, my sweet love, Ursula 🧚🏼‍♀️

i’ve been in a year long courtship, intimately so. both of us sheltered from familiarity as he followed scavenger hunts to wherever i had set up home for a short while. because if a man were to come into my life, he also needed to earn his right to be where i am. following light footprints while boasting a reverence for the natural world.

one january night, this man arrives at my campsite in complete darkness via a dropped pin, no cell service, and replenishment of food and supplies in hand. this was kind of our first real date after he found me passing through a party in LA in december. matt describes the moment of walking towards my campfire as a nervous system reset, especially after the adrenaline of feeling too late, very lost, and maybe stood up because i wasn’t at the original pin. thankfully, he found the note i left behind.

this went on all winter into spring until by summer, he moved into the van.

february 7 marks the solar return of matt rising coming to this earth as a divine gift. traditionally he hosts his friends over dinner, wine, music, and writes a play to be performed by those around.

yesterday was different. there was still dinner, wine, music, friends, family, but this time he gathered us to celebrate our engagement! !!

matt and i are newly engaged and are overjoyed to finally lock in our eternal love and share abundantly

Every time I do an event, especially weddings, I feel like my clients (my brides in particular) are a mirror. I am so lucky to do work that feels deeply aligned with my vision and to have clients who trust me. It is such a gift to bring people’s love stories to life, and I could not be more grateful. This was the trip that sparked Noble Nomad, a gathering of some of the most special humans in one of the most soul-stirring places. At first, I was counting down the days for the safaris and the chance to witness animals in the wild (which absolutely lived up to the dream). But it was our time with the Samburu tribe that shifted everything. That was the moment the path for the new collection revealed itself.
Their relationship with jewelry is nothing short of sacred, a living language passed down through generations. The Samburu are a semi-nomadic tribe, moving with the rhythm of nature and their herds, yet deeply rooted in tradition. For them, adornment is identity. Every color, bead, and pattern tells a story…of age, belonging, love, and lineage. Their pieces are crafted with intention, often taking days or weeks to complete. What they wear is a declaration, not just of who they are, but of the values, histories, and traditions they carry forward.
Being in their presence, watching them layer history, pride, and spirit into every strand reminded me why I began making jewelry in the first place. It’s never just about the gold or the stones. It’s about storytelling. It’s about connection. That deep, symbolic approach became the heart of Noble Nomad.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible hosts, Jeremy Bastard and Katie Rowe (and of course, Kevin :)). Your visionary work with Sarara opened the door to something truly rare, an experience rooted in authenticity, respect, and wonder. Your generosity and deep bond with the land and its people shaped every part of this journey. And to the friends we made within the Samburu community, thank you for your grace, your stories, and wisdom you shared so openly.
Noble Nomad wouldn’t exist without you.
