hi friends! this is Matt, i wrote the music for “Sometimes I Imagine Your Funeral.” one year ago, we released the soundtrack on most streaming services. now, in celebration of the anniversary—and honoring what would be Lauren Dixon’s 32nd birthday—Vince and i have two exciting updates to share!

firstly, a new official lyric video for “Chloe”—the song featured in the film’s second half—is now live on YouTube! it features an intimate collection of real home footage from Vince, focused on his sister and family; and handwritten, animated lyrics from myself and the featuring vocalist in the credits version of the song, @laurenmichelleacoba

by the way… in the film, only my lead vocal is heard; Lauren’s voice joins in the credits, which is a shortened version of the song. this “epilogue” is symbolic of Max and Chloe’s voices reuniting after all is said and done. but you’ll notice that the lyric video contains both Lauren’s voice, AND the full duration of the track from the movie!

which leads to…

ANNOUNCEMENT #2: “Chloe (Full Version)” is now available as a *hidden bonus track* on any download of the digital album on Bandcamp, which is releasing TODAY!!! 🥳 this is the definitive version of the song—in its full spirit and duration—and it ONLY exists in these two places: the official lyric video, and the Bandcamp digital album release. 🔗 in bio.

while Bandcamp generously allows artists to set their own price for downloads, we’re sharing this soundtrack album for FREE! it comes as a high quality download for you to keep, or to listen to via the Bandcamp app. any payment is optional and entirely unexpected.

thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support of this project. Vince and i consider ourselves astronomically lucky to still be making things together after ~15 years, and this film and song are a couple of the most meaningful projects we’ve each made in our respective lives.

❤️❤️❤️

Lead Actors @josiah_sergeant and Samantha Ryan @rawstudios44 express how they feel like a family on set. In this official clip from the documentary “Behind the True Story,” they reflect on the way Vince’s community rallied around the film. Crewmembers like script supervisor and composer @mattsridges alongside gaffer @shredthegaff mention how well ran the entire production is, noting the chemistry needed to make this project a reality.

“Behind the True Story” is a behind-the-scenes documentary that follows the three-day shoot of Sometimes I Imagine Your Funera @sometimesiimagineyourfuneral created by @vince_dixon and the people who brought this story to life.

As of today you can now watch the short film and the documentary on youtube! Learn more at https://www.couriercreative.co/siiyf-film
