Lost & Found

Performed by Karam Ghotra
Written by Matwani
Prod by Marshall

A Film by Cheema

Lost & Found is a narrative music video and a homage to all the MVs I grew up watching on PunjabiHits.
When Karam reached out to me and said he wanted an old-school story, I knew I had to go back in time.

A lot of my inspiration came from Past Lives, Atonement, and a few sitcoms I’ve watched throughout the years. The track, written by Matwani, explores female yearning and unconfessed love, and I tried my best to translate those emotions into a story that felt intimate.

Filming this was one of the best experiences I’ve had. We travelled 70 kilometres out to a little ski-resort cabin with my brothers and the crew, where we spent the night shooting. Cutwaters, wine, and hotdogs courtesy of TJ. Everyone chilling on the deck and in the hot tub, Kirat cooking up Chaa & Maggi, It honestly felt like a Kasol trip.

The next morning I had pretty much lost my voice from the night before. We drove out to our second location in Fort Langley and eventually wrapped at Campbell Valley.

This whole experience is something I’ll always cherish. From the people I got to create with, to the places we travelled to, to the story we were able to tell, I’m genuinely grateful I got to make this one.
