If you told 16 year old fat powerlifter Caleb that racing an uncomfortable bicycle in skin tight Lycra with other sweaty dudes was fun he’d call you crazy. 12 months, rough tan lines, and 45 lbs later, here I am. I’ve fallen in love with this sport and the community it’s introduced me to. Picked up some wins solo but I’m excited for the next chapter with @tamucycling

The @lazycirclesbrewing bike ride draws a very diverse group of cyclists. Young to old, fast to a more chill pace. There is a lot of food options nearby and of course a free beer after the ride.

Don’t Be Such A Cry Baby

@tulsa_tough was definitely an experience. First time racing all three days, and it definitely lived up to the hype.

Racing solo all weekend, I was happy to stay in the mix and be competitive in every race. Friday was a roll in finish after a couple mistakes. Saturday, a last lap gap opened up and I came away with 13th.

Sunday at @crybabyhill was the highlight race though. Felt strong, grabbed a prime, survived some last corner excitement, pulled off a 9th place finish.

Huge thanks to:

Mav Crit Year 2

There’s something special about spending a weekend racing, cheering, and building community with our local cycling family. Having incredible courses and high-level racing right here at home is something I never take for granted. ❤️

The @mavcrit team put together an outstanding event, the riders delivered exciting racing all weekend long, and the Oklahoma heat gave us a solid preview of what’s waiting for us at @tulsa_tough . 🔥

From juniors to masters, first-timers to seasoned racers, the energy all weekend was exactly what makes our cycling community so special. Great competition, great people, and plenty of opportunities to catch up with our local besties.

As much as I love a great cyclocross weekend, a top-notch weekend of crit racing is about as close as it gets.

Already looking forward to Year 3. 🙌

@mavcrit wrapped up!!

Grabbed the win 🥇 day 1!! Was in a 3 man break for 50min of the race with @zakrajsekdylan then a close sprint for the win but was able to pull it off!

Day 2 I got to start in the leaders jersey. Definitely was a bit more targeted day 2 and with the blazing heat I just wasn’t able to get it done. Dylan ripped another break for majority of the race a brought home a 2nd 🥈 place for us though!

Great hometown racing here @mavcrit now onto my second hometown @tulsa_tough this weekend!!

Amazing pictures as always from @ryanbrantley_ and @hussledog
