October 14 - we joined the @olliedaze and @pokatheblacksheep crew for another beach party on the UAE’s northern coast!

Marking my second time at this incredible venue, I teamed up with @tarekb_ to play solo and B2B sets throughout the day (slides 4-6) and into the night (slides 1-3). I used to think the @olliedaze crowd is mainly into melodic techno and harder music, but the reactions @hartleyxdj, @tarekb_ and I received from folks that day proved otherwise! Although the night session was on fire, I gotta say I really enjoyed interacting with the drummers during my day time set (slide 5) 😃

Thanks so much to @yousefreef, @mad_penguin7, @kelclei_x, @firasakoum1, @mayedwildsultan, @molomran, @jadk21, @tiffanyghosn, @robertkassouha and @mhasty16 for driving all the way to Umm Al Quwain to support! I was also honored to have the one and only @bidzsaleh jamming to our music :)

UPCOMING PARTY ANNOUNCEMENT
February 10 - join me and @tarekb_ for another B2B set at “Euphoria 0.3”, @desertdreamdxb’s annual burn in the Dubai desert!

August 19 - I got a taste of Canada’s summer festival season with a performance at @re.unionmusicfest!

We kicked off the weekend with a hilarious and hazy 8-hour road trip through the British Columbia wildfires. Hosted on a beautiful property just outside of Nelson, the @re.unionmusicfest experience started the night before with a cozy, family-style dinner for the artists and contributors taking part in the event. The big day began with a beautiful opening ceremony that preluded more than 24 hours of non-stop music, connection, and straight-up Canadian debauchery, powered by @polite.sound’s custom-built sound system!

Nothing can fully capture what we all felt at @re.unionmusicfest that weekend, especially not the few videos in this post. It truly was a re-union as I got to play b2b with my Sayulita brother @mattzaiz and spend time together with @thegolden.pineapple, who made this possible for us! Thanks to her and @dose.productions for curating this deeply personal experience, filling our hearts and ears with so much positivity :)

We’re excited to host ZINI’s first official performance in Funky Beats, and in Bali!

Since launching the project in 2022, ZINI has performed and headlined in several cities across North America, Mexico and the Arab world, quickly making a name for himself as a touring artist.

With an exposure to events ranging from underground warehouses and night clubs to beach clubs and festivals, ZINI’s strength as an entertainer comes from a willingness to personally connect with the party, both on and off the decks!

March 11 - I wrapped up ZINI’s Arab world tour playing @b018.dxb’s @tropicalroomdxb with my besties!

Thanks to the efforts of @b018.dxb music program manager @firasakoum1, I finally got the opportunity to throw down with @angry.suzy and @tarekb_ on an official lineup! Although everyone and their mother was at @snoopybeats festival that weekend, we had a lovely time playing together and were blessed to have some old friends and new faces in attendance - shoutout to the Latino couple (@8viogm) who stood by me the whole night, giving me a slice of home 🙌 I was also happy to be playing in parallel with and see @kurdiziad, aka Kurlz, close out the main room at @b018.dxb that night!

I don’t think there’s a better time to share this awesome piece of news: I’m incredibly proud of @angry.suzy & @tarekb_ for launching their new UAE-based music label @gamer_music_, with @tarekb_ due to release his first minimal-focused EP, “Skippy”, on August 18! It’s hard to believe that someone can come up with such quality tracks within just a couple of months of starting music production. I’m excited to see this duo continue growing as artists and producers 🙌

February 25 - we spent our day with @pokatheblacksheep and the @olliedaze crew for a rager on the UAE’s northern coast!

I can speak volumes about how much fun we had that day. Although this booking was originally meant to be a solo booking for @tarekb_, he decided to include me for yet another groovy B2B set on the sand, splitting both his airtime and pay. From what I know and have experienced, the crowd at this party is used to heavier forms music, so this was a great opportunity to introduce our style and showcase something different. Luckily, we were incredibly well-received and the party morphed into a full-on fiasco, with our very own @angry.suzy stepping in to show the boys how it’s done. @jackrabbitdiaries & @tank.sound y’all did a great job and your team is super organized 🙌

Thanks to @ahmedalibarada, @mohd_abuyousef, @dominique.obeid and @ribal89 for being there with us! Special shoutout to the multi-talented @fireinspyres for capturing some special moments :)

February 11 - happy to be back in the place that was once considered home, I kicked off ZINI’s Arab world tour with a @desertdreamdxb party in Dubai!

For this one, I was happy to be reunited with the man himself, @tarekb_, who I partnered with to hold down a 3-hour warmup for the party! Thanks to @specialk.music, this crew has been serving the UAE music community with well-organized gatherings in the desert for several years now. With options to camp at the party, I love how the organizers implement a strict “last man standing” policy where music doesn’t end until the dance floor is completely clear 😅 What makes this one special is that, in 2020, the February Valentine’s edition of this party was the last party I went to before serendipitously leaving the country for North America!

Thanks to @yousefreef, @azizkhatib, @talesbytala, @hayasalti, and all the new friends I met for spending the night with us :)

There’s a saying in the Arab world that goes: "الجنّة بلا ناس ما تنداس", basically translating to “heaven ain’t paradise without people”.

Here are photos capturing some of my people in Mexico, taken between December ‘22 - February ‘23 🙌

February 4 - I celebrated ZINI’s 1-year anniversary with an opening & closing set at Guadalajara’s best discoteca, @luzyboom!

Marking my 4th appearance at this incredible venue, I was brought in to support @annaforestlive’s headlining night. From @fixeuno’s designs, to @commodore_music_ & @007adanleanos’s stage management, to @diego.ure’s mind-bending visuals, to @betomedina’s backstage hospitality, this venue’s professional team and world-class setup never cease to amaze 🤯

With this booking came the end of ZINI’s Mexico winter tour, in the same venue where it all started exactly 2 months ago! I met so many more friends, fell in love with a wonderful Mexican woman, and ate everything you can imagine. I’m blessed for the ample opportunities I had to learn about and grow in the diverse electronic music scenes in this country - GRACIAS 🇲🇽

January 30: my winter run in Sayulita was concluded with an impromptu set at Sayulita’s red room, @barrilitosayulita.

With a diverse lineup consisting of @curiouscultivator, @diegoamador.r, @max.mignot, @mattzaiz and myself, a bunch of our friends came through for what made a cozy Monday night in Pueblo Magico! Thanks to @mattzaiz for including ZINI on the lineup - you are a king my brother ❤️

My time in this magical town was heavily supported by friends and family. Thanks to everyone who made me feel at home, came out to support, or took some time to spread the love - I enjoyed every moment spent connecting with y’all :)

With this post, I intend to show you that it’s not always rainbows, butterflies and packed venues. On 11/11, I played a totally uneventful set for the @highlifegang crew!

As ZINI was booked in the area for the weekend, I decided to join forces with a ensemble of local DJs, consisting of @ostosbro, @soy_santum and @_zetter, for a @highlifegang afterparty in Guadalajara.

By the time I kicked off my set at 4:30 AM, the room had pretty much cleared out and I had a total of 4 people rocking the dance floor with me. As disheartening as it can be, ZINI’s philosophy revolves around playing music with the same level of energy behind the decks, no matter where I am and what time it is.

On the positive side of things, it was special to play @dmtclubgdl, a legendary club known for its insane visuals, diehard crowd, and psychedelic atmosphere. I was honored to light up the Hikuri stage (in more than one way) with the VJ legend, @peperinconvite. Huge thanks to @elrula01 for the humbling hospitality and sharp awareness.

Last but not least, shout-out to the dynamic duo @fixeuno and @fzmaaa, for showing up to support ZINI with so much love - it’s friends like you who continue to give me confidence!
