Nothing beats shoot days like these. ✨

Filming Charlotte and her incredible sessions at SpiritHorse reminds me why storytelling matters — because it changes lives.

This week, we shared the SpiritHorse trailer at the City of American Canyon: a moving moment for everyone who’s been part of this journey.

We’re thrilled to announce that SpiritHorse is an Official Selection at @equusfilmfest!

I’ll be there with two films: Heart of Compton & SpiritHorse — both celebrating the incredible power of horses to bring communities together. 🎬✨

A huge thank you to everyone who has already supported our fundraiser to help get Charlotte there and this film out to the world.

Special thanks: @alotta707, @spirithorse_eas, @farmonfirst, @max415sf, @cityofamericancanyon and this entire community for making this story possible.

What an inspiring day –

It was great to see so many people coming together to support health, wellness, and each other at the Community Health Fair in the Western Addition over the weekend! The event was a beautiful success – filled with heart, healing, and hope and every moment celebrated empowerment, opportunity, and connection.

Thank you to the nearly 60 staff and volunteers who showed up to prioritize health and community – sharing their time and wisdom. Together, we all created a space where everyone felt seen, support, and stronger with –

✨ 51 conversations about how to recognize a stroke and reinforcing the need to call 911
✨ 21 blood pressure screenings performed
✨ 14 home blood pressure monitors given to community members
✨ 17 Narcan distributed
✨ 11 Fentanyl test strips provided

Here’s to growing healthier, more connected future – together.

We wrapped up our camping week and met up with @max415sf a new community partner, and this was our first day with them, and none of them had ever been surfing. They did absolutely amazing, so many waves were ridden, stoke was flowing, and we even were visited by a crab! Special thanks to the staff @max415sf for making this day happen! And to our crew of staff and volunteers who powered through with endless smiles and energy❤️
Thanks to our sponsors and supporters!
We are at Miramar Beach, HMB today if you are interested in having some fun!

MAX’s tour with SERC(South End Rowing Club) @southendrowingclub one of our proud MAX partners!! Many of the SERC members say that swimming and being in the water is vital to their mental health and stress levels. Water is known to destress and create a sense of calm within the body. Would you ever try a plunge in the San Francisco Bay?⚓️

Fun fact: Did you know that The South End Rowing Club is the oldest club in San Francisco?! 💭

What happens at the intersection of mental health and one’s experience as a member of the Black community? While the experience of being Black in America varies tremendously, there are shared cultural factors that play a role in helping define mental health and supporting well-being, resiliency and healing.

Meet James Mabrey who’s a Squad Lead/Coordinator w/ @max415sf. Here is a clip of a interview facilitated by SF State intern Jacqui focusing on Mental Health in the African American Community here in SF. 📍

Mental health is essential for everyone, regardless of race or culture. Sadly, historical and cultural factors have created significant disparities for Black Americans. Did you know that only 25% of Black individuals seek mental health treatment when needed compared to 40% of white individuals? Let’s work together to change this and prioritize mental wellness for all. #BlackMentalHealthMatters 💚#BreakTheStigma #MAX415

MAX is the latest of more than 20 years of youth- and young-adult driven initiatives in southeast San
Francisco. Over the past year, MAX combined insights from participants in its predecessor programs with research on change theory and human behavior to create a playbook for implementing, managing, evaluating, and scaling impactful community innovations. This playbook includes a two-phase process. Phase one empowers participants, referred to as Seedfolks, to heal, learn, and lead. In the second phase, Seedfolks leaders implement MAX's four-step
'A4' (ask, act, access, amplify) approach to launching ambitious public health.
