Onze Huis(PLAN)maker Maxime Dreesen gaat los. Of eigenlijk: laat los. 💩✨

Transformation starts with letting go!

We teamed up with @de_studio and @verbeke_foundation to talk about @maximedreesen’s newest release! Maxi! breaks down AN ALBUM, a pop project created alongside producer @bennedousselaere, that explores grief, shame, love, and lightness through camp, humour, and pure performance art.

Mark your calendar: On 30.10.2026, Maxi! presents both the album and the live experience at De Studio in Antwerp. The event is free for Different Class members.

Maxi! launches ANALBUM at De Studio! 🎪

Balancing f-art pop, dance, cabaret and performance, @maximedreesen turns desire, heartbreak, shame and bodily excess into songs that are playful, theatrical and unapologetically physical. ANALBUM, created with producer @bennedousselaere, takes the anus as an unexpected starting point, a place that receives, releases and transforms. Across eight songs, shit turns into compost, sadness into pleasure, love escapes possession, and letting go proves much harder than it sounds.

🔥 MAXI 🔥

Maxi tears up the stage in a whirlwind of pop, camp and cabaret, somewhere between concert and performance. EDM and ballads laced with humor and performativity explore desire, taboo and the anus.

Openings, holes, gaps and in-between spaces, both physical and symbolic, become portals to intimacy, pleasure and shared fantasy. Through music, voice, movement and text, Maxi creates a space to experiment and fail, making room for connection, vulnerability and looser norms.

@maximedreesen, performing as Maxi, premieres new songs from the ongoing project ANALBUM. ANALBUM comes out later this year, but at Shortwood these songs get their own moment to shine.

This is not yet ANALBUM. It is the moment before.
