In July, I spent some pretty magical moments with even more magical women in the mountains.

We shared stories, had moments of vulnerability, talked honestly about where we were in life, and where we were excited to move forward.

There’s something I really cherish about 1:1 time in the mountains. Learning more deeply about another human while creating a deeper connection to each other and to the place we’re moving through.

For a long time, the mountains have been where I’ve found some of my biggest accomplishments. But lately, they’ve also been where I’ve found some of the darker corners of my life.

We change so much from year to year. And, to put it simply, my priorities have changed quite a bit in 2026.

I’ve had to be honest with myself about what is and isn’t sustainable for me. Guiding, as I had been doing it, wasn’t a sustainable path if I wanted to create something meaningful for myself long term. After the worst sprained ankle of my life on my birthday in 2024, on top of a lot of other things compounding in life, there were moments where it felt like my world was falling apart in more ways than I knew how to hold.

So these moments feel pretty special.

To know that I can still move through the mountains. That I can still find partners who lift me up, and that we can support each other in different moments of an adventure. That I can still learn, connect, laugh, struggle, tell stories, and be present.

Maybe my relationship with the mountains is changing.

And maybe that’s okay.

There’s a lot to be grateful for in that.

And the flowers. We love some good flowers.

Thanks for holding the space and encouraging a much needed adventure 💜✨ @nadinenadow Laila @catch_catie @maxinusss
