Done it tired. Done it alone. But got it done. 🏃🏼‍♀️🤍

A little 6km plod on a day dedicated to all the amazing women navigating menopause.

A phase of life that came a little earlier than I ever expected, but one I refuse to let slow me down or become the whole plot of my story.

Menopause is part of my story, but it doesn’t define all of it. And I’ll keep showing up for myself, one run at a time. 🫶🏼

She IS glad she took the plunge 🤿

So very proud of how Verity has committed to running over the last few months.

There have even been some runs where she has returned and said, I really enjoyed that!

And now she knows that committing to the process DOES result in improvements, we are all set for the next step towards her marathon.

We have booked a 1/2 😳

And the MaxMile app is providing all her training as she builds toward it.

I do rate this app, which is why V is using it 😊 @maxmile.app

Check it out and use code: HUDSON

For an extra week free so you can test it all out.

@marathonmuenchen was war das bitte? 🤯

Something quite exciting that Ive been helping out on recently. Ive been helping create the injury prevention side of the @maxmile.app to help runners keep running and not let injuries derail a block! Have a look on their instagram for more info. Use code PADDY30 for 30% off your first month. Get after it! #Maxmile #running #training

Today’s episode of The Performance Collective is live 🎙️

This one’s a little different. Today’s conversation is hosted by Nick Hancock, founder of Maximum Mileage Coaching and my mentor, as he sits down with one of the most influential voices in endurance sports: Jason Koop.

Jason is a prolific trail and ultra-running coach who’s worked with some of the top athletes in the sport, while continuing to shape how everyday runners approach training. In this episode, they dive into what actually drives performance, from simple, consistent training to the highly individualized strategies used at the elite level.

They also explore how AI is starting to transform coaching, how Jason is already using it in his practice, and what it means for the future of endurance training.

If you’re a runner who wants to train smarter, or you’re curious where coaching is headed, this is one you don’t want to miss.

Watch on YouTube or listen on Apple Podcasts & Spotify, links in bio.

After just over a year off, it's back to training with @runwithnick and @maximummileage

With the @nycmarathon and Great North Run @great_run coming up in the autumn we're getting back to it early doors, which is needed as I've not been up to much since Tokyo.

Looking forward to the challenge ahead and hearing again what all the Maximum Mileage folks are up to 💪

⛰️ ⁉️If hills make you feel like you’re ‘just not built for this’, check what happens in the first 30 seconds.

Most runners don’t struggle because they lack the fitness. They struggle because they surge from the base, spike their effort, then spend the rest of the climb trying to recover while still climbing.

Try this instead:
✅ Start boring for those initial 30 seconds
✅ Shorten stride
✅ Relax your shoulders + jaw (try it, often you don’t realise this is a thing!)
✅Bring the knees up higher and utilise your arms!
✅ Longer exhale for 3–5 breaths
Then reassess.

Hills are like Marmite, you either love or hate them…!
Try these simple cues and tell me what happens 😃
