TWS Editions has been live for a few months. Long enough that it's easy to assume it's already old news. It isn't.

These are six artists who didn't get discovered by TWS, they built it. James Gallagher was constructing the infrastructure for contemporary collage before most people were taking it seriously. Charles Wilkin's 2003 monograph with Gestalten shaped how a generation understood the medium. Cless has been collecting for 35 years and calls his own process a paper collage seance. Fred Free was the first artist TWS ever interviewed, in 2011. Rubén B. named this whole project and co-founded it. Max-o-matic still runs it.

Between the six of them, that's most of the reason TWS looks the way it does today.

And this September, TWS Gallery opens its second exhibition. We're keeping the details close for now, just know it's the same thread: the artists who've actually shaped what collage has become over the last 20 years, still pushing on that understanding.

Buying a print from this series is a direct way to support both sides of that, the artist who made it and the platform still building around them.
