We woke up at 1am to climb to the absolute highest point in the north island of New Zealand.

What a mish and one of my all time favourite climbs on my favourite mountain.

Glad to share this experience with the gun @maxrawfitness , look forward to more adventures with the bro 💪

I first came across @coachbaxter through Instagram Reels, and what stood out straight away was how practical his approach is. All his stuff made sense , all things you can easily apply with clients. Signing up for the course felt like an easy decision, and it absolutely delivered. Learning about joint pain, pain management, and how to confidently apply that knowledge in coaching sessions was incredibly valuable.

@ben851 sessions on physique transformation were another highlight. They completely changed the way I think about nutrition and body composition. Nutrition is something I’ve only recently started to truly understand, and the knowledge shared over the weekend has given me a much clearer framework to coach from.

Easily one of the best courses I’ve done. My coach helping me dial in @btpt_ . Keeping me accountable with my nutrition, digestion, sleep are all factors I think everyone should work around to improve you’re lifestyle.

To top it off, I spent the entire weekend dealing with the pain of a recent tooth extraction, but it was worth locking in for two full days and soaking up as much knowledge as possible. Always learning, always looking to become a better coach.

Melbourne for a weekend 😎

Lots of learning, eating, catching up with friends and making some new ones.

Spent the majority of time being the smallest and dumbest in the room, couldn’t recommend it enough.

The universe really be in its bag for me lately 💯

Meet the Team - Max Rawbone
Personal Trainer at LM Britomart

Growing up in the USA, sport was always a huge part of Max’s life. From American football and track to basketball and swimming, he developed a natural love for competition and training from a young age.

Alongside his passion for sport, Max had a strong interest in business, which led him to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG. While the gym had always been a hobby, years of following the same training programs without fully understanding the principles behind them caused that passion to gradually fade.

Everything changed when a friend from university in Dunedin introduced him to a completely different approach to training. At the time, his friend was still developing his own knowledge and skills, and Max had the opportunity to train alongside him and witness his progression firsthand. Through that experience, he was exposed to the science of hypertrophy and learned what it takes to build effective, evidence-based training programs. Watching that journey unfold reignited Max’s passion for fitness, and that friend has since become his mentor.

By October 2025, Max had reached a turning point. Ready for a change from corporate life, he left KPMG and moved to Queenstown. In what was both an impulsive and deliberate decision, he chose to back himself and start a new chapter. Personal training was the natural next step, combining his knowledge, experience, and genuine desire to help others achieve better results. He began coaching in April 2026 and hasn’t looked back since.

Today, Max coaches people the way he wishes he had been coached from the beginning — with purpose, structure, and a program tailored to fit their individual lifestyle and goals.
