August was full of beautiful experiences, both personal and professional. Very grateful to all the wonderful people I collaborated, acted, danced, harmonized, and reconnected with along the way. Didn’t take enough pictures, but you can swipe for some highlights!

Shot my first short film! Directed by @maryna_startseva and co-starring @christiediazpr with DP extraordinaire @matthewcanada and an absolutely killer crew. I feel very lucky that my first film experience was with such an incredible team.

Celebrated the glorious wedding of @anyasophiam and @paltielpaltiel with some of the best folks around!

@hearyoursonghys pulled off our most ambitious project ever—the first Camp Hear Your Song! We flew in ten kids and families from around the country for a weekend of songwriting and recording at the legendary @powerstationatberkleenyc. I don’t think I can express enough gratitude for our unbelievable staff and the team of volunteers who made this weekend happen. And I couldn’t be prouder of the kids, who wrote and recorded such powerful songs like absolute pros. You can check out Hear Your Song’s page for footage from the weekend, but here’s a snippet of @dan.rubins celebrating the success!

Hopped on a train down to Virginia for a week to perform a new chamber opera with @sevenhillscmf thanks to the most generous, lovely, and stunningly talented @jeremyweissperformer! And made many new friends along the way.

Wrapped up the month with my first professional voiceover job and a reading of an excerpt of my play at an epic salon hosted by @rebeccaquinnr.

Months like these are few and far between in the freelance creative

Scotch Plains has a lot more going on than people realize.

There’s the history, the commute, the parks, the local coffee spots, the restaurants, the school setup, the community events, and that green, spacious, neighborhood feel that so many buyers are looking for.

This carousel is a little peek into what daily life can feel like here, from grabbing coffee after drop-off to catching the train into the city, finding your go-to pizza spot, keeping kids busy, and getting a better sense of what makes Scotch Plains such an appealing place to call home.

Swipe through for the local scoop on Scotch Plains.

And save this if Scotch Plains is on your “should we check it out?” list.

One year since this day.
Still one of the most joyful moments I’ve had the honor to witness.
