CLEVELAND! This one is indeed for you! The past 3 years have been nothing short of amazing. You guys welcomed me with open arms, and said goodbye with even more love than I could have ever imagined.

In this business and in life in general I feel it’s important to leave a place better than when you found it. While this is obviously a team game, I believe that I was able to help do my part to achieve that during my time here. Although it wasn’t as successful as we all wanted. Back to back conference semi appearances and a trip to the eastern conference finals is something to be proud of.

Not only on the court but off the court, we were able to accomplish so many great things together. During my time here I was able to start The Max Strus Family Foundation. We successfully hosted many events and met many great people and organizations that are doing great things throughout the city. We were able to impact so many lives through our foundation, but nobody was impacted more than me by this great city. You guys helped me grow, learn, and understand what it means to be apart of something bigger than yourself. We will forever be tied together because of this and I wouldn’t want to have it any other way.

Unfortunately that doesn’t make this any easier. I’m going to miss you all. The fans, the city, coaches, staff and of course my teammates. Thank you for the memories! Cleveland will always have a piece of my heart. But in the meantime, if you need me I’ll be out west!✌🏼

Thank you for everything @maxstrus ❤️💛

From unforgettable shots to the hustle and energy he brought every night, Max gave Cleveland plenty of moments to remember.

His impact extended beyond the court through the Max Strus Family Foundation, which supports education, youth sports, healthcare, cancer research and mental health programs in Cleveland and other communities that have shaped his journey.

Once a Cavalier, always a Cavalier ⚔️

Last week marked five years of camp.

It’s hard to put into words what this week has become and how much it means to me. What started as an idea to give back to the community I grew up in has turned into something bigger than I ever could have imagined.

None of it happens without my family. They’ve believed in every crazy idea and every dream I’ve had from the beginning, and somehow always find a way to help bring them to life. I’m incredibly lucky to have them by my side through all of this.

And to everyone who has supported me and this camp over the last five years. THANK YOU. To our campers, families, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, teammates, friends, and this entire community, you’ve embraced this week and made it what it is.

This will always be home. Being able to come back every summer, spend a week with all of you, and give back to the place that gave so much to me is something I’ll never take for granted.

Five years went by pretty fast. I’m just really grateful we get to keep doing this 💚
