Anyone that knows me well knows I am super passionate about football. Especially high school and college. Whenever I meet someone new and they figure that out, one of the first questions is always “How does your wife feel about that”. My response is always “she knew what she was getting into when she married me. Wasn’t a hobby I picked up later!”

Over the years we have clearly become a football family. Monica and I have had at least one of our three sons on a football field consistently since the fall of 2012. Been to a lot of high school and college games over the years. Those days are beginning to wind down and although I will be a bit sad when that fully happens, I am fortunate to not only get to see the older boys pursue what they love, but it means I still get to be around it!

A new season is upon us. I went to a Vanderbilt scrimmage this morning where Max is interning with the strength program. Next week Friday night lights kicks off for us as Zach starts his senior season at MBA and in less than two weeks I will be up in South Dakota attending Jacob’s first game as a full time wide receivers coach at Northern.

Here’s to another football season with the Van Landingham family being involved. It can’t get here fast enough!

Mother’s Day special.

For the first time in many, many years, I was surrounded by more than half of my children on Mother’s Day-and my mom, too.

So much to be grateful for: becoming a grandmother, here to see Sammie D. graduate, me & Ken just being us, moving my body alongside people I adore.
And honestly-that’s just the beginning.

It’s been a great weekend. A really great day.

I hope you get to feel this kind of joy too. Sending so much love. 🤍

Getting over the metal aspect and playing to his best potential is what set Max apart from the rest. By doing this he was the 4th leading defensive lineman in career sacks at Northern State University. #Aceindustries
