It’s about time for… a graduation photo dump! As a high-schooler, it was my dream to get to study at @curtisinstitute one day. I’m grateful to have been given the chance to fulfill that dream, and honored to have done so receiving the Provost’s Award for Outstanding Citizenship.

2, 4, & 5: @adrianwongcc and @maya.mirojohnson , I’m so proud to be graduating alongside you as the Curtis composition class of 2024. Your creativity and friendship makes my life sweeter.

Thank you, Amy Beth Kirsten @pious.little.flea , Jonathan Bailey Holland, @nickdiberardino (pic 2!), Richard Danielpour, and @steven_mackey for all of the composition lessons and musical guidance!

3: Thank you, Mom & Dad @alan.amick for your unwavering support of me and belief in me.

6: Thank you, Jonathan Coopersmith @jbcoop926 (and Ford Lallerstedt, not pictured) for showing me what’s possible in the realm of musical studies and guiding me towards that high standard.

7: George Lewis’s residency at Curtis was short but sweet. Thank you, George, for the wise musical advice and encouragement. I’m glad to have watched you receive your honorary doctorate from Curtis at this month’s ceremony!

8: Thank you, Oliver @pritaykitay, for playing on more of my pieces at Curtis than anyone else and for being a steadfast friend throughout my time here.

9: Thank you, Adrian’s parents @rositalee9888 , for such a meaningful keepsake.

10: Swipe to see me so eager to get my diploma that I forgot to get the hood from Paul Bryan!

Dreams do come true! 💐🌹I’m overjoyed to have graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music as an Oboe Performance major, and humbled to have received the Presser Scholar Award for excellence in academics, performance, and leadership that exemplifies values of equity and inclusion. I also had the honor of being the student commencement speaker alongside my good friend and colleague Kahlan Yenney. Thank you to everyone who supported me on this journey and I’m looking forward to this next chapter (or phrase 😉) of my life! 🎊🎉

I’d also like to congratulate two very important people in my life, my brother, Kamal Talukder, and my best friend, Lena Salem, for also graduating this spring. Kamal earned his Master’s of Music Education and Lena earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology. I’m so grateful to have these amazing people in my life and would not be where I am without their unwavering love and support. Everyone please congratulate them in the comments!! 🙌👏
