Ministry. Something so special and so needed in every stage of life.

Leading this women’s ministry has been nothing less than the most special journey I have ever experienced. The women’s ministry at Emory & Henry kicked off the semester with our annual flower bouquet making event and it was one of the most special events I have been a part of. It was much more than placing a bunch of flowers in vases, but it was a beginning of so many wonderful things. New faces, new friendships, and the start of a new season at a place many of us call a home away from home. Knowing that this event was placed in the Lord’s hands and made possible because of Him is what makes it even more special.

Women’s Ministry at Emory is special in a way that every single person brings something different to the group… different experiences, testimonies, and perspectives. My leaders are a great representation of this. I am beyond thankful to have these three lovely women by my side through it all.

I cannot wait to see what the year holds for this incredible group. God is definitely planting seeds and growing something beautiful in this ministry!

Bittersweet way to end the semester, as well as our 3rd outdoor T&F season. I gave my team and my coaches every ounce I could give. The results of a 34:02 10k, and then a rough 16:22 5k, that is hard for me to accept. I had bigger goals and bigger expectations for myself. This was meant to be a lot more. I'll say that this has been beyond incredible as it is, though. I had such a good time with my team, smiles all around, there's not a team I'd rather be doing this with. With my teammates, coaches, i couldn't have been put in such a spot to succeed without you guys, i owe so much of it to you. We'll take these 2 days to learn, and get stronger. The best has yet to come. Love this team, and I can't believe our core is graduating. I'm gonna miss you guys more than you know. Summer Training up next, Stingers up 💛💙

Meet day was a bit rough, today. Today showed off some flaws in our personal training. We fought to stay up for a little bit, but when it mattered most, we gave up. Didn't respond to the pack, most importantly didn't trust our 2nd gear. It's really frustrating. I wasn't allowing of pain. Where there is greatness, there is pain. I let myself go only so far, and then I checked out. That was the race, the 5k was over only halfway through. Why did today go the way it did, I'm not sure, but I'll continue to work harder and harder. I continue to look at this from a learning standpoint. Training is not over, 2 more meets to go. How do we plan from here?
I loved spending today with my team, I love you all. Way to represent today 💙💛

What a way to finish the indoor season...15:48 5k PR. This didn't feel the way I had anticipated. I'm not surprised that I finished the way I did, I'm supposed to be right here. This is the expectation. I took everything I learned through this incredible season, and I applied it all here. There was no doubt in my mind that we were running sub 16, it was just a matter of execution. I did it, and there's no letting off of the gas. I couldn't have done it without my team, and the people behind me. I love and thank you all. Outdoor ⬆️⏭️💙💛
