VARSITY!!

My u69 debut 🫦

SQUAT 110kg (-2.5)
BENCH 67.5kg (+2.5)
DEADLIFT 122.5kg (-2.5)
300kg total (+15kg from Northern unis)

Woke up at 4:30am after a lovely 4 hour sleep only to have to run for the bus 💀
Weighed in at 66.0kg, very proud achievement. Was at the perfect level of hydration without Maya and Henry forcing water down me 🥰

I’m really happy with how the prep for this comp went despite the many tears, self doubt and motivational pep talks sat on the gym floor. To pb on both squat and deadlift during the peak and to then hit a pb on bench on the day was so lovely. To be at a 305kg total, adding 80kg on to this since mock meet in December, is something that I thought I wouldn’t reach for years and I’m so proud of how hard I’ve worked for this.

Everytime I lift I learn something new. I think squats took a hit recently, especially with my confidence. 110kg has never moved worse but I’m so excited to work on this and get my love for squats back ( I forget how far I’ve come with these, squatting 3 digits is a big thing). Finally hitting body weight bench was the absolute highlight, something I’ve been patiently working towards for a while and I’m so proud of achieving this at only my second comp. It was all smiles for bench yesterday 🥹 deadlifting 2 red plates is also kinda very cool and not something I expected to happen so soon ❤️I love doing this and I’m really excited to see what I do next.

@henryjones.pl wouldn’t be where I am today without you. Thanks for always pushing me, supporting me, keeping me calm when I’m stressing tf out and being confident enough for the both of us 🙄😂 I’ll try not to spend 5 hours in the gym next time.
