It’s Tip Tuesday🕺🏽🤸🏼‍♂️✨ Legs Up the Wall, or “Viparita Karani”, might be one of the simplest shapes in yoga, but sometimes simple is exactly what the body needs. 🥹 This week, join @mayafitzrandolph as she takes us through Legs Up the Wall, a gentle restorative posture that gives tired legs a break and creates space to slow everything down. Stay for a few minutes, breathe slowly, and let yourself settle. 💗 Come put it into practice on your mat book on the MINDBODY/Discovery Vitality app 📲✨ #tiptuesday #yogalife #yogacapetown #yogacommunity #yogalifestyle

I am a Yoga Teacher @theyogalifestudio in Cape Town I suggested to the studio owner @mayafitzrandolph that I would like to introduce a brand new 7.30am Power Yoga class to the studio that I would lead. She agreed. Today was the very first class. The alignment was uncanny. Everything aligns to the number 1. Number 1 represents a new start, a new beginning, a new chapter. There were 10 people in the class. 1+0=1 The class was held at 7.30am. 7+3=10 Today is the 10th day of the 10th month (October) in the 10th year 2+0+2+6=10 Today is a New Moon. The nw moon symbolises letting go of the old and wlecoming in the new, a new start, a fresh, clean slate. I have never believed in coincidence. I believe that there is a Higher Power in control of everything and sometimes the workings of that Higher Power are revealed in ways that us mere mortals are able to witness. This is one of those times. A big THANK YOU to all those that practiced in my class ❤️‍🔥 Namaste. 🙏🏻 #syncronicity #alignment #grateful #yoga #yogaeverydamday

What we mean when we say take child’s pose at any time… Hahahaha! 🤣 Sculpt can be hectic! Maybe not this hectic, though… 😅 This is a reminder to listen to your body, treat child’s pose as home base, and take child’s pose for whatever reason throughout your practice. 🤍 Join @mayafitzrandolph tomorrow for sculpt at 8am to experience how we actually teach sculpt. 😆 Book on the MINDBODY/Discovery Vitality app. 📲💪🏻 #sculptyoga #heatedsculptclass #hotsculpt #yogacapetown #yogalife

Being a teacher, a yoga teacher and a training lead, is a role of quiet responsibility and a huge gift. You hold space for people to unfold at their own pace, offering structure without forcing the shape. Every class, every training, is a chance to pass on not just technique, but a way of paying attention. The gift of teaching yoga is that you’re always practicing too, every student is a mirror and a reminder of your own path. As a training lead, that role deepens: you’re not just guiding practice, you’re shaping how others will one day hold space for their own students. It’s teaching that ripples outward. There’s a humility built into it…. you never fully arrive, you just keep walking alongside people, a few steps ahead, sharing the trail. It is a deep honor to be a teacher and I am grateful for each student that crosses my path ✨🙏🏽 Join me for the next YTTs in Ubud Bali @radiantlyaliveyoga I am leading: - 300h RA Vinyasa YTT in November 2026 - 200h RA Vinyasa YTT in August 2027 - 300h RA Vinyasa YTT in November 2027
